Phone our landline number - did not answer as we thought it would be a dodgy call - about normal at this time of day and we were right!

Female, who would not tell me anything... Only that the call was for 'brand research', I want to track them down as she hung up on me when I asked her who she worked for, and hopefully get her fired.

Silent caller who hung up after approx 30 seconds.

Silent call, at 8.30 at night.

calls here every week for someone who moved 2 years ago. response is always the same "while I've got you on the phone"... and deny having called before. [***].

1st they called me from 02814767868 and i never had time to get to phone then an hour or so later called me from 002814767868. exactly the same number but now with two x 00. ie; an international code? i looked for either number codes from bt's phone code companion but it showed neither areas where these originated from. thing i'd like to call em back n tell em to [***]!

This is a UK CLI that is being faked by overseas call centres in India and/or the Philippinnes (the UK company organising this seems to use call centres in both places with this CLI).  It is not a +28 (0028) country code as no such country code has ever been allocated.

You wont get them fired, as they are being paid by scumbags to do just this sort of thing...

Some people see the '028' number and think it's a Northern Ireland number, but the digits '14' after the 028 are not allocated to NI.

Ofcom can't reach them, as they are not registered in the UK, so TPI wont stop these calls either.

I guess the answer is have an answer machine, and when a call comes through wait to see if someone starts to leave a message who you know and want to talk to and then pick up the call.

They've called twice today within half an hour. 002814767868. No one spoke. My mother is seriously ill and I'm waiting for some important phone calls. I had initially thought this was an important overseas call from some relatives I need to speak with. People like this piss me off. I hope they read this thread and stop their unwanted calls.

I have received a number of calls over the past 2 days, but there is no answer, so its good to see that we're not the only ones from reading the other comments

2.45 pm 31/3/09 most recent call . asking to talk to my father- he died late last year. now I just put phone down.

7.45 pm 31/3/09 same call again-enough of being polite- same initial question !!!

Follow this to have some fun--press 141 followed by their number, then put your phone on secrecy and listen to them squirm!!!!

Payback time--do this if you have time and only if its free for you to call the land line numbers of course.....They may understand how frustrating it can be--The more people call them back and give THEM the silent treatment, we could put them beggars out of business.

Keep getting calls from  00280057298. When I pick it up, there is no one there. Now I don't pick it up and it stops ringing after about 6 or 7 rings.

i keep getting calls from 002890344533, two today, not leaving a message. very odd.

I keep geting call from 002890344533 today into my mobile and land line twice.no one in the line.
