This number has been calling me three times a day for a whole week now...i havnt picked up as i figured if it was important, then they would leave me a voicemail!!! so pleased i havnt now, since reading all of these comments!! I never give my number out so i have no idea where they have picked me from!!

I've been getting calls from this number on my mobile.  It always rings off before I can answer it after two rings so haven't had a chance to tell the guy to get lost.  I certainly won't be calling back but will call Orange tomorrow and try to get the number blocked.  Thanks for all the messages, it was re-assuring to know that it was a scam as I had thought.

I've had this number calling me every day for the past week - generally it only rings a few times. I answered it the other day and they said they were calling from Orange, I said I was busy so I didn't get any more details - though clearly this number isn't from Orange. Have asked Orange and am still waiting for a reply from them.

i have had this number call me a few times lately, thought it would be a premium rate scam so never answered especially as i saw it was a Czech number. Glad to see it's not just me who is getting it; not understanding why our service providers can't block it though!!!
Has anyone seen their bill after they have answered it? I want to tell them to get lost but don't want to be charged!!!

Just got my first 2 calls from this number. As soon as I saw it I was suspicious and so Googled it and found this site. Have just phoned BT and they can't bar international calls. The advice is just not to answer if you have caller display and can see who it is. Might be worth getting it if you haven't already. 30/06/2010

just rang said it was orange didnt believe it all but seemed to know how long i had been with orange. said was offering me broadband. not only did they get my number they seemed to get hold of ho wlong i had had my contract for as well. what else do they no??

My partner has had loads of calls and is very irrtated. If your with Orange you have the facility on your Phone to bar international calls, you need a password, so speak to Orange to set one up. Also if you have a BT landline, they have the facility called ' Choose & Refuse' but you have to pay for it each month.

Got a call from this number this afternoon.  Don't normally answer foreign calls but for the fact that my son had gone abroad this morning and I thought it could have been him.  As soon as I heard the foreign voice I put the phone down.  Hopefully they haven't cloned my phone. Foreign thieving ba****ds!

This number has been calling me daily for about a week.  Worried because it shows `international` and my son is in India.  Finally clicked that this is not an Indian code.  How did they get this number as I am ex directory.  How to I stop it as I have many international friends and I dar`nt anwer the phone now as the 004 number rings off immediately.  Why do they ring off and what do they want? HELP.

This number rang me and said it was orange head office, and tried to tell me broadband, so i asked why the number and the guy said the head office was based in the chezch republic, i was too suspicious, told them to ring back, rang orange, and confirmed it had nothing to do with them.

I've also been getting calls from this number for the past 2 weeks - now it's more than twice a day, starting at around 3.15pm (England) and ending at 7.15pm.  Figured it was a scam, never answered the number but wish the hell they'd stop calling - how they get numbers is anyone's guess, but they could randomly pick any numbered sequence and go from there.  Want to see if Orange will bar this number.

I am receiving these calls for few days now  several timea a day, I answered ones but the signal was bad and I ha to get rid of itng up. But they are so persistent. I dont know how to get rid of it all.

just read your post, it's exactly like my problem. and I am on orange too, honestly, I AM worried and just do not know what to do. "F...off " tactic does not work! as previous "sufferres" suggested.

Hi , I have been experiencing the same calls for the last 3-4 weeks myself - they usually call a couple of times a day but never answer - thankfully checking this forum it would seem I am not alone in this scam..as frustrating as it it...seems the best bet is to continue to do what I am currently doing and not answer the calls AT ALL..I am on orange and phoned them at the weekend to see if they can block it..but they said due to the handset I have I cannot block certain numbers..so my best bet is to hope they eventually get the message and stop calling...or if all else fails..try chaning my number..seems a bit of a pain in the you know what if you have to tell everyone you know of your new number just because so scammer can stop bothering you..anyway...lets hope they eventually stop !!!

My daughter have been getting calls from this number for around 4 weeks, most of them when answered have no one on the other end, obviously a computer generated dialling system, but on the couple of occasions there has been someone on the other end they have asked for me by name, now the question is how do they know my name? Because the phone is under an Orange contract which i took out for my daughter because she was not old enough at the time to open a contract. I have spoken to both Orange mobile phone and Orange broadband they both deny the calls are anything to do with them. But there are only 5 persons that know the phone is registered to me, 4 live in our house, the other one being Orange, the network provider, does this mean that Orange has passed my personal information to a third party, or someone within the Orange has been a naughty person. Or last but not least Orange’s computer system containing possibly millions of bits of personal information has been hacked in to, I am at present in communication with both Orange mobile phone and Orange broadband to get these nuisance calls stopped, Don’t be fobbed off by your provider keep hammering away at them. Watch this space.

Ive been having calls from this number 2-3 times a day for a week - usually only rings twice and the phone hangs up. I managed to answer today and it was an English guy from Orange that was offering home services. I never let him get so far as to offer me broadband, but he knew that I had been on Orange for about a year. I received a call on my home phone about a week ago from Orange also offering the same thing..... So more than likely this IS Orange...

How or why they are denying it's them is beyond me.... probably some legal loophole???

I keep getting calls from this number. If I answer they hang up. Otherwise the call stops ringing after a few rings. I presume the idea is that I ring back and they make a profit on the call?
