Been getting a phone call from this number once a day for a week now! Didnt answer it the first few times, but made my bf answer it yesterday and today. Was silent and then hang up!? My advice, dont answer it. I asked my network provider Oragne if I could block this number, but they said that they cant! Dont pay for some idiot from pragues holiday, just ignore it!

Have had 9 calls from the number in 2 weeks, haven't answered it.

I am at the moment with Orange mobile and I have had several calls a day on my landline (not with Orange but Virgin), nothing on mobile as yet.
Never answered as with caller display if don't recognise  the number they can speak to answer phone................ they never do of course. Its annoying of course but thank god for caller display!!!!!

I had a missed call from this number, tried to ring back, no tone, tried again, no tone....went online saw this forum, glad nobody answered otherwise it would have cost a bomb.  Any luck tracking this person down?

I keep getting calls from this number too, glad I googled it as thought it may be a friend from abroad trying to call! It is quite concerning that they have my number.....no idea how they got it! The only thing I can think is that I recently gave my number when applying for a bank account online but surely that would be secure?

Literally just had this  number call my mobile... Im on Orange as well, but dont think its related to specific providers. Did not answer, but immediately came onto this site to see who it maybe, as i also thought it could be a pal from abroad.

Getting daily calls for a week or so here on both phones in our house. We have sequential numbers. Orange customers.

friday saturday and today (all the same time)... schemeing bast***ds. havent answered the call as i luckily have been busy on each occassion! just an annoyance to be honest!

This number has called 3 times so far this week and its only Tuesday. On my mobile so i can ignore it. Rings 3 times then hangs up with no vmail. Just thought id google it now im glad i did THANKS X X X X

I just had a call from this number too and I am also on Orange. Has anyone been called by this number who does not have an Orange phone???

Had a call from this number on Monday night, my phone was in my locker at the gym so didn't answer it.  Only just googled the international number and came streaight here.  Thanks for posting on here otherwise could have cost me a bomb.  Also on Orange.

Same problem! 5 minutes ago! Obviously affecting Orange customers hope they do something about it!

I just phoned Orange about this and they absoloutely did not care. I gave them the number and they just advised me to go on the TPS (which I already am).

They didn't give me a reference number, the chap just gave me his name and extension number by way of reference. Perhaps if we call each call orange every time we get called by this number they might start to do something.

Have been recieving calls from this number for weeks now. I have never answered it as I guessed it was a suspicious call. Following a couple of calls I contacted Orange who, as other people have said, are not interested. They told me to download an app for my iphone-which doesn't exist!  As it is obviously a 'phone scam and therefore illegal you would think they would be a little more interested in solving the problem-not to mention looking after their customers. We should all continue to call Orange customer services until they decide to stop their so called 'valued customers'' being ripped off by scammers.

Also had this number call me on my mobile (Orange) twice in the last week.

First time I didn't answer, 2nd time I did. Some guy with an American accent claiming to be from Orange. I asked why he was calling from an international number if he was from Orange, but he managed to not answer that.  Instead, he attempted to convince me of his authenticity by reciting my home phone number and even knew I'd taken out Orange broadband about 5 years ago.

Clearly (given the number of people with Orange contracts receiving these calls and Orange's denial of any connection to them) this is a scam caller who has managed to get a hold of information from Orange's customer database.

Decided to answer it today and it was a bloke with a Manchester accent telling me he was from Orange and that they wanted to reward my loyalty with some discounts off home goods.

He then asked me if I was using Orange Broadband.  I told him I wasn't interested.  He replied "What is it you're not interested in?"
I answered "What you're offering me, and this call in general"
"I haven't told you anything yet, so how can you not be interested?" he asked.

I hung up.

Orange have clearly had some data stolen or worse. As this breaches the data protection act, it is Oranges best interest to ignore and distance themselves from this issue as they would be in a lot of trouble if their customer database has indeed been acquired by someone. I'm going to phone offcom on Monday and I urge other people to do the same as they won't investigate if just a few people complain.

Actually, saying that, for the first time, I wasn't called at all yesterday. Could it have finally stopped?

received a call on my mobile at 14:49 30/11/10, didn't recognise it so i didn't answer not going to phone it back as it's international and will cost a fortune. would like to know how they got my number.
