I am also on orange and receive the call between 2-3 times a day.. Its rings for all of about 7seconds and then rings off.. Ive been receiving the calls now for about 2wks! Ive had them at all times even early hrs of the morning.. I would say its just a nuisance call as I cant imagine orange having a customer service team trying to contact you in the middle of the night! Ive just switched it as a nuisance call and blocked it on my phone!!

OK...I have been getting three calls a day from this number. I am also on Orange. I have called Orange, they were very polite but insist they can't block the number from my account or handset. The member of staff is reporting the issue higher up the ranks.

So here's what you've got to do....

1) Every person who gets a call from this number must report it to Orange. If they get enough calls they will do something about it. I went through on 150, then reported a technical fault.

2) Report the number to Ofcom. They will also look into it if enough people contact them.

3) If the calls don’t stop, you are well within your rights to report nuisance calls to the police. Again, if enough people report it, they will investigate.

So without repeating myself too many times, please do something about these scam artists, and stop them harassing genuine folk that have done nothing wrong. If you don’t do anything about it they will never stop.

I get this as well. Im an orange customer and will report it to them.

I also have a pal who is a broker for Orange so will see what he says. V annoying.

I wonder...I'm also an orange customer. Started getting these calls about 3 days ago. Getting called once a day at the moment.
I'm with RJ on this. Reporting it to Orange and Ofcom for starters.

I just called Orange. They can't do anything with the number because of the data protection act.
Their advice... notify the Police as they are the only ones who can investigate it.

In the mean time, save the number to your phonebook and assign it a 'Silent' Ringtone so it'll never disturb you - it will just be a missed call on your phone then!

Just had a call from this number on my mobile.  Didn't answer because it looked like an overseas number.  It is now in my phone under the contact name 'IGNORE'.  Hopefully they'll get bored of calling if it never gets answered!?

I too have been receiving calls from this number for the past 2 months up to 3 times a day...never answered, i am also an orange customer and have been for years. Contacted Orange who were not interested and directed me to the police! Am convinced info been leaked so am worried, about to contact orange and ofcom hopefully if we all do this some action will be taken.

I have had three calls from this number in two days. Three rings and then it stops. Have just got
through to orange on the fourth time of trying, not interested, suggested I "call the cops".  Offered
to change my number. Thanks for information on this post.

I keep getting these calls one a day for a week so far. Thanks for this forum I now have a clearer understanding of the scam. I phoned orange and like another user pointed out  phone 150 and follow the options for technical support. Explain the situation and ask to register this number as a nuisance caller - have the number to hand. They will then submit the information to the relevant team, and also put up a block. I will find out tomorrow if the block is successful?
