land codes like 00886, 00284 etc are lines which use VOIP-networks. so, in most cases (not all) they might even call you from within your country, with this landcode.

i got a call also twice. but i wasn't able to answer. no idea who the caller is. but according to google +00886 is the country code for Taiwan. well, i don't have friends working or based in Taiwan.

The code is from Taiwan. It is probably a scam to get you to call back, so you can be charged a large amount of money for calling that number. It seems there is a similar thing going on from the Dominican Republic. Your local phone company will simply try to pass the charge on to you

I had a missed call from 008625546249, yesterday. I think this is a number in Taiwan and probably some scam to get me to phone back so that I can charged a lot of money for phoning a "premium rate" number.
