A very old scam that I've been contacted about twice before looks like it's starting again. Lady from somewhere or other about some shares that I used to own but sold several years ago. I started to tell her why she wanted to buy them and she said "you've been called before haven't you" and when I said yes she hung up. The scam is that they have a client who wants to buy up over 50% of the shares and is offering a price per share that is vastly different to what they are worth, last time it was £15 each for shares that were worth more like 15 pence each. You would have to sign a confidentiality agreement and they would want a fee, either insurance or transaction fee or some way of getting hold of your money which turns out to be far more than you wouldn't have received for your shares. It's the opposite of a boiler room scam.
