VERY suspect phone call

Idiot rang us after 1 in the morning asking for someone I'd never heard off. No appology for waking us up and kept insisting he had the right number. Great rep for their company!

       I am the I.T. manager for the above company.

We would like to apologise to those of you who have been contacted by mistake.

Unfortunately we are not responsible for the out of hours telephone numbers passed to us by our clients. So any incorrect numbers are given to us.

Our operators don't dial the numbers - they are presented on-screen for them and dialled by the software.

So apologies again if you have been disturbed in the middle of the might.

Don't be more stupid than you need to be.

If a call is made by your Company, then your Company is responsible.

It is not relevant how that call originates.

Get your systems and your sources sorted, try to operate in a businesslike manner.

I work for a large company who use sss, and even though I personally have had issues with their employees attitudes at times (I am a shop manager), he is right that the companies are supplied the numbers off the businesses and mistakes do happen. What they should do is have some confirmation system where each employee on alarm call out verifies their number and signs to confirm it.
There should also be a system whereby if a false number or no change of address/phone number is given then sss fine the company say £50 and pass this onto the aggrieved person'

they phoned at 1 this am didnt speak when it was answered, i have spoken to them this am and the man was very helpful and apologetic for the bother, good service 9 times out of 10

They keep calling and asking for people i have never heard of. Very poor attitude. Completely incompetent. Will not tell me who is calling or why.

this company is an alarm company for retailers... so they would only ring late at night when shops are being robbed or if alarms are set off accidentally. The managers of these stores are giving the numbers of key employees he/she wants contacting in such events, so the store managers are giving the wrong numbers by accident if you are being called and are not the person they are asking for. this is 100% completely not sss fault. they must of thousands and thousands of numbers to ring in such events, they cant check on every one to make sure its right, they must rely on the managers of the stores to not be stupid and triple check every number before it is submitted, like my manager does!

Very helpful people and 100% genuine. It really isnt there fault if the incorrect numbers are submitted!! Just phoned to inform me of alarm issue @ my husbands business. Thank you
If you have a problem find out the business they are trying to contact and take it up with them why they supplied incorrect numbers

Phoned at 7.30am whilst getting ready for work. Why?????

I don't know how you got my number but getting phone calls at 3:45am is disgraceful!

This number phoned me at stupid hours in the morning. Woke me up twice!!!!!!!!! This is unacceptable!!!!!!

Alarm call out for shops, where alarms have been set off out of hours due to a break in/stock falling and setting it off/fires etc. If they call and you don't work for said company, get in contact with the company and ask them to sort it out!!

Do not appreciate being called at this time of night.

As a number of other people have said, this is an alarm company.
They contact numbers they have been given to contact by their clients.
If you get a call, they'll tell you why they are calling and for what premises. Let the caller know they have the wrong number and either block it (if you have been called on mobile) or contact the premises they told you about, and tell them to sort it.

If course you were contacted at a stupid time. This is an out of hours service

Security company calling to advise alarm has been triggered as i am listed as a key holder

genuine call, letting me know that my work alarm was going off. if your a key holder you will be informed.
