just hung up no meeage left

British Gas automated customer satisfaction survey (following a call to customer services). If you don't answer the call they won't leave a message but they will keep calling until you do answer. They don't ask for any information other than your opinion.

Phones but leaves no message on answering machine

Phone rang shortly after I had rung British Gas but without me identifying myself or giving them my phone number (which they maybe just logged anyway). Seems although it took 15 minutes to establish they couldn't help me they were very efficient at trying to get a survey out of me.

However, when I answered the phone (suspecting an "odd" Reading number of 01183 instead of 01189 of being British Gas) there was no-one there so I thought it had to be a scam instead.

Rang left no message on answer phone  scam blocked

Phone rang about four times, answered but no one there!  No message so assumed some sort of scam.  However looked up online and seems it was gas board looking for answers to “how they did on my call to them”.  Why don’t they just leave a message instead of worrying and confusing people?

I answered but they did not reply

I answered but silent repeated greeting but got automated voice saying goodbye

Unexpected call. Seeing the link with British Gas it could be linked with Dyno-Rod harvesting my landline number (not actively supplied to them). No message.
A reminder that Dyno-Rod have been taken over by British Gas! There couldn't be a worse recommendation...
