01214 is what comes up on my caller id but when I call it back no such number exists

just had a call off these people wanting me to let them take over my computer to repaire virus,s and stuff lol the bloke spoke that quick i could hardly understand him. it was an unsolicited call from them, claimed i could check there web site,but couldnt cach the name of it asked him to repeat and it went dead, beware!!!!!!!!!!

Phone rings, pick it up -silence, then phone goes dead. this has happened three times in the last week and it is always the same number  01214525620

Received call from this number today and also from 01202 and 01123.  No message left by either caller. These are really odd numbers for the U.K. so no way will I be calling them back !!   How do these people get our 'phone numbers ? In view of previous listed comment BEWARE !!

01202 is the number for the Bournemotuh/Poole area as for the other one it is a strange number for the UK, and i cant find it anywhere.

I have twice had a call from "Telephone security" from this number. Someone speaks with an Asian voice in quite good English. I remind them I am listed on the Telephone Preference system and they are committing an offence by ringing me!!

I have received a call from 01214525620 I dialled 1471 and this number had tried to call me today

I got a phone call from 01214 6650251.  They said they were a firm in the States who had received my CV and wanted to talk to me about contract work - IT training.  Didn't catch the name of the company

Got a call from this number (01214) on 8 February 2012. The caller said he was conducting a survey (and therefore this call is not covered by the TPS). The questions covered things like my age range, salary range and who was my energy supplier, so probably the purpose is to sell on this information to companies so they can make marketing calls in the future.

Pretty sure its not the first time. The call was to my mobile.
I was sleeping, and by the time I located my phone or had been riniging for awhile.
When I answered it was silent and they hung up, so thinking I managed to miss the call.

Keep on getting calls from this number...how can I stop it? Is there such a nr. 10214?

Hi Larly I had some idiots try to scam me some money over the phone, i gave them my moble number like an idiot during the scam,  
I was given a number to ring and that was 01254916345. Of witch i had a couple of conversations with someone that called himself Andrew Dewhurst. And since i told them where to go with there scam i have been receiving like you these calls from the same number as you 01214235645. not sure what it means or what its about,  presume they want us to call back and get charged some silly call rate.

They tried to Scam me, they wanted me to Pay £1317.23 for No 1 Business Directory, they also operate as Business directory pages.
When you are not paying out, they also trade as In the Red dept recovery, which does not existed either.

Hi, I keep getting calls from 01214 235640. I,m not answering them as I'm sick to death of these companies getting my mobile number. Is it Orange thats selling them the numbers as I'm really careful with who I give it out to.

I had a call from 01214390302 i answered and there was silence then they hung up, wtf?

I am now receiving silent telephone calls from 01214 690045, I answer the phone and there is silence. It makes a change from the 01629 telephone calls I've been receiving for weeks.  Who are these peop.le

I received a call from 01214 690045...strange in itself as I am Ex D! However, I was not in to answer but they refused to leave a message on my answering facility. When I called the number it was a recorded message saying something about it being an "allocated phone number".
