01220

This number called me an Indian claimed I had spoke with him month earlier claiming to stop unwanted phone calls. What a laugh I hung up

I got a call from 01220, Indian lady claiming I had a problem with junk files on my computer and wanted me to do what she told me on my computer, having had a similar call about three months ago and decided it was a phoney trying to access my computer I told her I was not interested and like the call before she hung up.  Good riddence.

Automated message said "HMRC registered a tax fraud to talk to an agent press one." When pressed the key, the "agent" said something unintelligible and cut the call. I called back to the number (01220 747139) but the phone's automated voice said "the number is unrecognized". Contacted HMRC they said it must be a scam call.

I got a call re tax fraud. The number displayed was 01220 983484. It was a recorded announcement .Surprised that this scam is still going around.
