Got a call from this number. Tried to return the call but no joy

Recieved this -  It has been 7 days since we attempted to contact you with the means you have provided. Please call us on 01243201010. ......... i don't know who it no details thinking scam  so im not responding.

I received a text in response to requesting a quote for scrapping a car from scrapcarcomparison.co.uk.
Not a scam as far as I'm aware as it quoted a reasonable price. Haven't yet responded though and might go with a better quote from elsewhere.

Got calls from this number, and a texts from 0786 001 70 30:

"Hi, we tried calling but couldn't get through. We have several buyers ready to quote o your vehicle". Also reference to a Ford.

I don't own a car.

OK, so I googled (on my iPhone) for info on scrapping an old car a week or so ago and now I'm getting texts and calls regarding scrapping a car?? I didn't enter any details on any websites as the info wasn't for me. Just had another 'missed' call from 02143201010 followed by an answerphone message AND text message from 447860017030 within seconds of eachother:

This is the 4th text since Sunday (it's only Tuesday!) - one 'thanking me for getting in touch', one for 'putting in a request and requiring more info', one offering £9864, and the latest ""Hi, we tried calling but couldn't get through. We have several buyers ready to quote on your vehicle, please call 01243201010 for prices. Scrap Car Comparison."

The answerphone message is very polite 'regarding the info I entered on their website'... I didn't enter any info and have never contacted them

3x calls TODAY from this number!! 3x word-for-word answerphone messages about 'my Volvo'... I don't own one. Thee people are beyond annoying and clearly 'Richard' is bored!!

Maybe you guys should let the phone ring more than once before hanging up, thats all!

They are a SCAPE SITE for Cars as far as i know.  They ring and then send a TEXT within SECONDS.  So like a Mate who Rings once and you call them back so they dont get charged...

Received a text on an offer to scrap my car today Sun 11 Feb 2024 but I have  never been on their website to enter anything, first time I looked it up today, and found the website it is under construction, so I can't have put my mobile number in and nor can anyone else. I'm certainly not scrapping my car. Has someone got it in for this company who appear to be legit?
