    Got a call from someone claiming to be "Leong from Maybank" offering a debt consolidation plan for credit card and personal loans at a flat rate of 2%. Sounds to good to be true right? Plus calling from handphone, Maybank will never allow this.
    Told him I'm busy so please email me the details, but instead he said to WhatsApp. Suddenly got PDFs from a "company" called "Elite Marketing Group" where a "Mr Dylan Lim" is the General Manager.
    I then asked why he said he was from Maybank, then he said he is "an outsource agency not directly under Maybank".
    So of course, need to ask how he got my details. No clear answer, and I have all the Whatsapp screenshots to prove it.
    It is highly likely a scam, or at best a predatory "legal" program to take advantage of those badly in debt. And most likely they get contact data illegally as well.
