this company - Hot House Energy - called me at 09.34 on 23/7/2013.  They asked for the householder.  When i mentioned that I am in TPS they immediately hung up

Just cold calling for solar panels - with a nice introduction that they are "acting on behalf of the government" pmsl
crooks - avoid them!

This number phoned and asked to speak to the homeowner.  I said if they didn't know who I was then I assume she was cold calling and she said yes so I hung up.  Am signed up to TPS but it seems less and less effective.

Yet another time-wasting telephone spammer.

This is getting old.

Called me today. Asked for me by name. Mentioned Hothouse Company  Started talking about the government. Told him to [***].

This number called me twice this morning; neither time did they leave a message.
I particularly like Jim McGrath's way of dealing with this -- giving full details of name, address, date of birth, company holdings, etc. of the man behind the company responsible for this behaviour -- see his post further down this page.

Just called. After holding the line silently for about a minute he asked if I was the householder. Asked who he was : "Liam from the Hothouse Company". Got into argument with him about his apparent ignorance of Telephone Preference service, to whom I'll report him, though much good will it do.

As others, I was asked if they could speak to the homeowner. I replied that it is not possible for reasons that I do not wish to go into. Despite this they asked why, so I replied that the homeowner was deceased, which is true. They replied "Oh OK" and hung up. The number they called is registered with the TPS, but I will not bother as previous attempts of complaining to TPS do not seem to have any effect.

Someone from this number keeps calling, doesn't speak and hangs up at least once a day sometimes number is withheld but others its this number.

Same situation. HOT HOUSE ENERGY COMPANY cold call and we're TPS registered for years.

Received a call from this number (which is TPS registered).
They didn't leave a message.

Same thing as the above - "Hot House Energy" talking about government grants for insulation.  Am registered with TPS - do they get round that as they talk about grants?  Told them I've got everything already.  Interesting that the last time this number was mentioned here was last September.

got a call this morning from the hot house energy company "01254686360" asking a few questions to find out who i was and what kind of house i live in, im not even in my 40's yet i told them i was aged between 50 and 60 and that i live on my own in a bungalow, they don't have a clue about the local area so they don't have any idea at all about the town or the houses in it (i think ill send one of their reps round an industrial estate lol.

if they cold call you the best thing you can say is you live on the ground floor in a council flat and that should pretty much stop them calling again.

I had a call from this number at 7.35 pm on 8 July 2013; when I answered there was a silence and then they hung up.  

Anyone ringing me regarding anything doing on the house, I tell them I'm moving home.  If they ask about my computer, I haven't got one.  If they want to know if I'm interested in a new boiler, I've already got one, thank you.
