Someone called John of Driveway Repair Direct or Driveway Solutions (I can’t recall exactly) asked how my driveway was. Muttered something about me being on a driveway register or some such baloney. I asked where he had got my number from, what my name was and where I lived - all of which he should know if I am on some ‘register’. No sensible answer. He went on about resin driveways. I told him we had not established whether or not I had a driveway, and, if I did, what condition it was in. He said the company wanted to make a publicity brochure. I asked again where he had got my number from. He then said he was new to the job, wished me a good day. I replied that I certainly would have a good day, but he probably wouldn’t. I then put the phone down. I’ve been on the UK Telephone Preference Service for well over 25 years. I have just filed a complaint with them for this number.
