supposedly from dell confirming my order of a new laptop getting me to ring back and then putting an extension code in but i dont know if its a scam or not

I got the same call from this number and was too wondering if it was a scam. Can't trust anyone these days

I have the same issue are they from dell or not?

I missed a call from this number aswell saying they were from dell and that they require a deposit  but the next day got an email for dell saying they still had not recieved my financial documents yet. Thinking its a scam!!

had numerous calls from this number asking to verify a dell order then saying my order had been cancelled because i had not verified it. i checked my order status on the dell website and it had been cancelled, so i don't think it's a scam. still a bit suspicious, though.

It's a valid Dell sales team number. Just been making my order through them.

I received an email from them asking me to ring this number with a certain extension to extend my warranty. Sent Dell an email asking them to confirm the number as correct as the email did not seem genuine..

Will keep you posted as to the progress...

It was completely real. Upgraded my warranty and told Dell then need to send more official looking documentation...

Had a call from this number from an Indian woman trying to sell an extended warranty for a Dell laptop that I'd bought nearly 1 year ago, the standard warranty was about to expire.

This is Dell and can be trusted.

I agree and re-iterate the last note from Brian Smith, this is definately Dell, I deal with them daily.  There are mutliple departments so it sometimes help to get the extension number.

Just had a call from this and asked to phone back, it was DELL confirming my details so that my order didnt get cancelled, can be trusted

This is definitely a Dell telephone number. It is on my Dell invoice.

I've got 3 messages on 1571 from this number asking me to call them at at extensions 3407128 or 3406266 to verify credit card details. But I've never ever ordered anything from them and don't even have a credit card. So treat this with circumspection.

This number is DELL, I was given it by the accounts department. The number can be trusted, it's the company that you shouldn't trust ! (Dell, Good Hardware, Pants Company)

Genuine Dell number trying and helpful if you bought one!!!

I have an email from these people stating I now have a dedicated account manager due to my recent order!  I have never ordered from Dell and would have no intention of doing so, why would I, I am retired?  The email address purported to be Sirisha.P@dell.com and gave this number as a contact.  Whilst I have no doubt that the information above regarding this being a genuine number is given in good faith, I would be very suspicious of an email like this, especially as the extension number given was 3406194, it seems strange to have extensions running into the millions.

An email supposedly from Dell with this number on the bottom - referring to "my new purchase", but as I haven't made a new Dell purchase, then it's obviously a scam.  Beware that it also had the automatic "sender requests that you confirm you have received this" (or whatever the wording is).  DO NOT CLICK TO RESPOND

This number is a call from DELL its a UK number however it is from the DELL assist team calling me back.
