Polite enough guy said he represented SEP Boilers ( I think) -said we had just renewed our boiler and he thanked me for my tie. Bizarrely enough this number belongs to United facilities support services Ltd. ufcleaning.co.uk/sco/about_sco.html which makes me wonder do they clean boilers as well. Looks like the number has been hijacked to some call centre activity.

Received second call from this number in recent days and both times, no one has said anything, then hang up after about 30 seconds. A bit uncomfortable as not sure what its about or reason for call.

Appears to be the follow on to the usual kitchen/window/boiler 'government scrappage scheme' robocalls that no matter what option you select (or don't) they sell whatever details they have on to whoever is desperate enough.

Have a look at this website: http://www.fepheatcare.co.uk. One of their spam callers may try to tell you that you have to re-register with TPS annually. They don't take "don't call back" for an answer, so keep reporting them to TPS every time they call.

Kept getting missed calls from this number. Finally managed to answer this last week, boiler scrap scheme.
Asked them nicely to remove my number from their database.
    Still getting constant missed calls.

Missed a call from this number today. No message left so blocked the number with my BT 8500 Advanced Call Blocker.

BTW, does any user of this phone know if it is possible to access the list of blocked numbers you have added?
Possibly this isn't possible, however it would be a useful facility to have.

    Re: BT 8500

I've not found a way to review the list of blocked numbers, unfortunately. It would also be handy to be able to name them for future reference*. It's a very effective solution to unwanted calls, and this is one of the very few flaws in its operation. I'd still recommend the BT 8500 to anyone.

    * You can save an unwanted number (with a name) as a contact and then add it to the blocked list, but unless BT add the ability to access that list, it's pointless, other than to show the caller's name on the calls list in future.

Interesting.  I am thinking of upgrading from the BT6500 because of the increased blocking faciity.  The BT6500 only blocks 10 numbers and you imput them individually, remove old numbers and put in new ones, so it's easy to see them.  Probably, as you can store up to 1000 numbers in the BT8500 it would be just too big to access.  Still, that is, as you say, only a minor flaw, considering all the other benefits.

Keep the BT6500 and buy one of the Add-on boxes available from the likes of Amazon with 1,000 number capacity?   Could well work out cheaper, perhaps.

Thanks AC just what I thought, but thanks for the reply. I agree with you that it's a very effective solution to stopping unwanted calls.
