Call was a hang up.

Supposedly from Talktalk Technical Support, Indian accent, wanted to download 'diagnostic' software onto my computer. Now there's an original.

I keep receiving a call on my landline from a strange number 01416288281. I really need this caller to stop harassing me

The line is allocated to Wavecrest (UK) Ltd who seem to use it for incoming VOIP calls from overseas.   Might be better to block the number if you can.

Something not right about this number ,missed the call ,phoned back ,keep getting engaged tone

Been getting these calls to my landline, at odd times... 01416 (Glasgow area code) 287761, when I answer the line goes dead and call back (landline not mobile) no dialling tone...!
These Glasgow numbers can be bought and sent abroad....so my advice is check any unknown number on the Internet, at your local library.
I tell my friends they are crank calls and simply ignored them.

missed call on my mobile from 01416 383909.  Rang back from landline, voice said dialled an incorrect number, tried again dialing very carefully got the same. mobile also tells me it's incorrect so how come the number appears on  screen.

Called and saw it was from Glasgow, Scotland, phoned back thinking perhaps it was family friends who lived there but came up with the user busy several times, phoned again and I answered for there to be no one on the other end

I get a lot of these calls. I have caller display so don't now pick up receiver when I see this type of caller.
There is an Offcom number to report to but they don't do anything!

Fiancés phone and foreign numbers

have received a late night call from  +1 416 583 xxxx code, is this a canadian number? as it is too long for Glasgow?

Never ring back those numbers as they can be a scam where they charge you huge amounts when you call  them.
