Had the same thing happen. Phoned them back and they are a mobile phone company trying to sell you a new contract but they didn't say what their name was.

Just had this number call my mobile a few times tonight, called them back blocking my number with 141. They said they were trying to contact me regarding my O2 contact (rubbish, they hang up any time you attempt to answer), I asked if they were O2 and he said no. I then had to ask who they were and he gave the company name. I ended the call there.

Just had these people call me, ran a quick search on google and found this site....  They just hung up straight away! ... better not have charged me!

I didn't answer because i didn't know the area code.

I just had this, and they hung up after just one ring before I could answer. I'm an O2 customer, so Adam's post above makes me suspicious...

I have also received one of these.  When I took out my O2 contract last year this company contacted me to sell me insurance that was much cheaper than the insurance provided by Carphone Warehouse.  I assume my annual ins is now up so they are trying to get me to take out further cover.

Received a missed call today from this number today....... will ignore or reject call from now on just in case!!!

Glad I found this website - it came up when I googled the number - BRILLIANT idea to help scupper those nuisance cold callers!!! :)

Me and boyfriend are both 02 customers and we are both getting numerous calls from these numbers!!!!

hassled on numerous occasons by this number, it is basically a group of people who have failed to get a proper job and earn their minimum wage cold calling o2 customers hoping to sign up a new phone deal...

if u get a call from these people, just hang up or remind them that macdonalds are recruiting still and they could earn more tossing burgers than they do sat on their [***] all day reading scripts to people who couldnt give a f**k about a new phone deal or extra minutes to call other mobiles. loosers!

Con artists who give you a missed call and then when you get back they charge you £5 per minute while they try and get your bank details for a phone deal.
THEY ARE A LIVING DISEASE.

Over the last couple of months I have been getting missed calls from various numbers including 01442 749927....."Mobiles for Free". Every time they ring I ask to be removed from their database. And yes everytime I get told they will remove me. And your right...no they don't. I have now registered with TPS, which block your number from future marketing lists. I am now noting down who,name and number that called and will continue to do so for a couple more months. Then I will speak to TPS. I don't know about anyone else, but I hate it when people phone and don't leave a message. I do know that if a company is cold calling they are not alloud by law to leave a message. I too am with O2 and purchased through Carphone Warehouse.

Sorry I'm they one that just left the long message. Just googled Mobiles 4 Free and found this site. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!

Avoid this company , they called me pretending to be 02  and tried to get me to set up a new direct debit !!
