Report a phone call from 01482222009 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- GemmaRecieved about 6 calls from this number and gave up ignoring it and answered it, they claimed to be from Talk Talk "calling back for registering an interest in their phone and broadband" for the record i had looked at phone and broadband on comparethemarket yesterday but never gave my phone number or clicked on a talk talk deal, maybe a coincidence?
- Caller: "Talk Talk"
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Hilarioni want to know who is this person
- LarryCalled me a few minutes ago - silent call. My number is on the Telephone Preference List, Unlisted, Ex directory so how the hell do they still call me - what do I have to do to get these parasites to STOP calling me??
- Call type: Telemarketer
- IvanStill don't know who this is, as never anyone at end of line, but only started once I stupidly typed my phone number into talktalk broadband checker...which "couldn't determine my speed". Since that day I have had multiple cold caller numbers call at all hours of the day...it can't just be a coincidence. No wonder I will never go with talk Talk! I'll go to companies who treat my home with respect
- Caller: Talk talk
- Call type: Telemarketer
- swillottThe same person 'Colin' has called asking to speak to my wife seven times today, claiming to be from Orange. she has refused to speak to them, I have told them to stop but to no avail, the last time I threatened them with the police, so far no more calls.
- Caller: claimed to be Orange
- Badger67Just received a call, picked up the phone, caller put their phone down. Who are they? These type of calls always seem to happen at lunchtime - between 1pm and 2pm, assume they are automatic computer dialing
- Caller: ?
- milleressconstant calls from this number same times every day for weeks (say their from orange offfering cheaper broadband) I have been registered with bt call preference service for years makes no difference what so ever - these tossers are really peeing me off now keep waking my babies up!!!
- MarkI've just hurried from trying to take a dump!!!!
I didn't get here to the phone in time but did 1471 only to find that it's yet again another cold caller.
My telephone number is registered with the telephone preference service and I am also registered as ex directory and NO CALLS and yet some how these damn pointy headed cretins still creep through the cracks in the walls like the cockroaches that they are!
Will someone at TPS kindlly do their job and get this filth prosecuted or AT LEAST seize their telephone lines.
I have TALKALK for a phone and ISP so I don't think it's talktalk. - lescombesAutomated silent call..... was phoned from 01482 899792 later in the day....all nice claiming from Talk Talk claiming that my number had been used on their website..... to search for coverage... to me this is either dubious or a scam to collect phone numbers....after my MiL service from the said company I would not go near them with a barge pole.... see... https://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/01482489792#p355881217056699374
Complained by email & reported to ICO...- Caller: Talk Talk
- Call type: Telemarketer
- meryPicked up phone and nobody on the other end
- Sue replies to JAMES| 2 repliesI am registered with TPS but doesnt seem to stop these people???
Wish they could be prosecuted for an invasion of privacy or something - JH replies to Sue| 1 replyI too have received a call from this number. I was out at the time but even if I were in I wouldn't have answered. I have caller display and an answerphone, and as with all numbers that I don't recognise I simply do not answer. I then go to this website, find out if it is a "nuisance" caller and if so add the number to my barred callers list - this ensures the company will never be able to call me again.
I know it may mean spending a bit more on a phone with the facility to bar calls but it is worth every penny in my opinion, and would be a good solution for those who are getting multiple calls from the same number. (Incidentally, I have other features on my phone one of which only allows certain people, such as close family, to call after a certain time at night, so even if you don't know the number of the "nuisance" caller in advance, you can still stop unknown calls after a specified time.) I appreciate it all takes some setting up, and in an ideal world we should be protected against such calls, but in the absence of any protection despite being registered with the TPS, this is my way of getting back at marketing calls!! Hope it helps someone! :-) - Dan| 1 replyI had an offer from this number claiming to be from Orange as I have Orange broadband. They were able to provide the first two letters of my password as "proof" they were from Orange. The caller was trying to get me to confirm my name and address for them to port my BT account across to Orange and combine the BT line rental with my Orange broadband.
This is telesales a scam. I have complained to Orange about the compromise of my password.- Caller: Orange (claimed)
- Call type: Telemarketer
- wombatofludham replies to DanI've been getting calls from two 01482 numbers, my phone number is a newly issued number that was registered with the TPS prior to the line being installed, so they must have got my number from someone who sold my phone number on as I have not undertaken any searches for broadband or telephones online!
Unfortunately for them, if I don't recognise the number I let it go to the BT answerphone service on which I've recorded a message entirely in Welsh. Kills the call stone dead. Highly recommended if you are being plagued by nuisance calls. Gaelic and other relatively rare languages probably would work just as well. - Soca replies to JHThanks for the info in your post JH. I have cold call problems since taking Talk Talk phone and broadband. What type of phone do you recommend to block calls. I want one. Will it work on Talk Talk?
- P Hughesluckily I have caller display so didn't answer it. Googled the number and came across this page.
- les007This is a scam!!!!!!!!! They say are from Orange and they are not. Tried to get me to have Orange broadband.
Scammers, scammers, scammers.- Caller: ORANGE
- had enufThis number called did not answer it fed up!!!!!!!
- AlistairThis is EverythingEverywhere responding to my interest in their fibre braodband.
Bit late as now signed up to BT.
Fairly pushy salesman.- Caller: EE
- Call type: Telemarketer
- SallyAnneTHESE GUYS WOULD SELL THEIR OW NMOTHER TO GET A SALE AND LIE!!!!!
Firstly they are running the usual telesales dial to answer the first person that picks up. They obviously dont check phone numbers against opt out schemes too.
Looks like these guys have been around a while and are a company or many companies wit the same base, passing problems around, but somethings don't add up!
These guys called me saying they are from an actual mobile network and had all my details about the account. They knew my name, address, etc but what got me is they knew my renewal date and my network said The One Point shouldn't have known that.
They are NOT part of any mobile network but more a reseller wit ha dealer code and I had never given them my details or spoke to them before. The feeling I got when they called me is that they knew way too much about me and my mobile account that ISNT with them as if they have had access to my account and the account had been hacked some how.
My gut feeling something is not right and has been done underhand! A friend had the same call from them knowing stuff about renewal date etc The One Point should not have know!
Who can I contact that will pat attention to look into this as a legal matter further?- Caller: The One Point
- Call type: Telemarketer
