Be wary of this number calling on behalf of EE, I used to work in EE and know this is definitely not the company calling you.

Had a call from this number claiming to be Andy from EE Broadband team about my broadband  Asked for me by name.  Confirmed it was me then hung up on me.  A call back to this number just says I was called by EE.  Calling 150 and they have not put any notes to continue the call which the guy on faults said he should have done.  Suspect it's some kind of marketing call

This is definately EE. It is likely you have closed your to or broadband account. It is  simply a feedback phone call asking what they can do to win you back. I told him he would do better to leave a voicemail. So we know who is calling. Harmless call!

This number called me out of the blue. I dont know this number. The problem is that those unknown to me numbers are calling during working hours and causing to me problems as in my work mobile phones are not allowed to be in use. I did not answer the call.

NOT FAKE! It's definitely EE Broadband - totally genuine. I'd accessed my EE online account, clicked "Test broadband speed" in your area - you have to enter Postcode & landline number - it said my phone number hadn't been entered, but rather strangely (not) 10 mins later, someone from EE Broadband rang!!! She was very polite and helpful, but as I'm with Virgin on 150 mbps Fibre Optic Broadband (the fastest in my area by a LONG way) they were not able to tempt me with their offer of 76 mbps via BT - it would have saved me around £8 a month but I chose to stop with Virgin with double the speed broadband.

"TakisMoschos" - If your work doesn't allow the use of mobiles (which is a good thing, in my opinion!) - then it's not "those unknown to you numbers calling during working hours" who are causing you a problem - it's YOU who's causing yourself a problem! Put your mobile on silent - vibrate only - its quite simple - that way it doesn't matter how many good or nuisance calls you get in work time!

Also, to everyone who drives - for a living or not - but especially in work time, put your phone on silent, place it in the boot or glove compartment... or, if you really MUST use your phone whilst driving... for goodness sake, use the blue-tooth facility - which is widely available in approx 90% of vehicles on the road today! I wish car manufacturers could invent something that automatically disabled mobiles whilst car is in motion - I think that's the only way to stop selfish LAZY people, causing countless accidents and even worse, killing people!

I know many won't take a blind bit of notice; but at least I feel better for saying it... from my wheelchair... all because a selfish, lazy, couldn't give a s**t about anyone, mobile phone using driver changed my life... in a split second... FOREVER! Thanks for what you did, you selfish little dweeb! Who didn't get as much as a scratch or even a bruise! All I can say is, thankfully he was a [***] in a car.... and not a stupid [***] driving a Lorry or Juggernaut... on a Motorway! *GULP*

Apologies "TakisMoschos" - only the first paragraph is meant for you... but once I'd started, I just had to go with the moment and express my feelings on mobile phone use ,in the wrong place at the wrong time! I only came on here to check who'd called me from a missed call number; I couldn't get to the phone before they called off! They soon rang back - hence, I found out it wasn't a Nuisance/Fake/Fraud call.

Okay, back to what I was doing :-) Take care all xxx

Definitely EE . I am already a customer. She knew my contract details and gave me cheaper monthly deal. Said email will arrive within an hour and it did. She asked for no personal details just confirmation of email address. Everything ok and would say pleasure to communicate with them.

Really glad I finally answered this call. Polite young lady gave me a better deal on my current broadband and call package & saved me £12 a month. Didn't try and sell me things I don't need. I was wary when she asked me to confirm my name and 2 characters out of my security question but I realise this is for data protection so they are not discussing my details with a complete stranger. She asked me no further question but confirmed my information back to me for peace of mind!

I have just left EE broadband and they have tried calling me twice but left no message. I assume it is a genuine EE broadband leaving call based on what other people have said and the face I left their broadband the day they started calling

Thanks for advice Sarah.  I had a call just now and didn't answer it as I didn't know the number.  CHecked internet and found your post.  Most grateful.   No message left, so think there would have been if it had been EE.

This number just called, saying they were from EE, that they knew that I had been looking at their packages  online and asked if I'd like to talk about switching to them. I said no thanks, cos I was so shocked that they phoned. How on earth did they know our landline number? I definitely didn't type it into any of my searches today, just the post code to look at mobile coverage. It's just creepy. :-(
