I have received a number of calls over a year or so from this number which is a marketing company in Wilmslow. It's always from a man who starts up a rapid spiel, claims to be an expert in my field and therefore to know the market etc.
When I thank him for his call and decline to speak further he makes some sort of dismissive remark and rings off suddenly so that I am left hanging. Remarks have included calling me a 'w**ker' or similar terms of abuse.
This individual is a really nasty piece of work.
The only solution is Call Blocker.

Had call today from same guy. He doesn't like being rumbled. Will also use my lovely call blocker to keep this lowlife away!

Got a call from this idiot who was very rude

Just received a phone call from a gentleman from this number.  He called at 7pm and seemed to really be experienced in the field of marketing for counsellors.  I listened politely to what he was saying and in theory it all sounded good.  However, when I told him I wouldn't be able to make a decision there and then, I'd need some time to think about it, he became quite rude and hung up.  Whilst this guy may be entirely genuine, I'm going with my gut instinct which is to stay clear.

This number just called me and in the end as would not listen, tried to be polite at first, he would not give up so I said no thanks, he then told me he would not work with me, because I was rude, what an idiot

Yes - he jumped straight in with the claim that he was going to help me with Google - and when I said no thank you because I don't deal with cold callers on that sort of thing he became angry, told me I'd missed out on a "free listing" (come on now, we all know they're never free and probably worth less than nothing) - and that I'd never hear from "them" again, having never told me who they were ... oh dear, I live in hope that he keeps that promise!

Called me at 6.00 same as above - firing info. no listening to needs AT ALL - no idea how he might gain any business this way - told me I was flippant when I suggested he call another person.

How not to do business because I shall now though my contacts ensure no one else gives him the time of day either !

There is no way any genuine person with a genuine offer would need to talk down to anyone in this way in such an aggressive manner. Surely just putting his offer on the professional body websites would have us all ringing him - so DON'T be bullied into anything when you receive a COLD call.

Wonder what he lacks to be doing this !

They call with silly offers for top of Google placing with a 30 day contract. I say no thank you, they get rude and offensive and hang up.

I said no because, in my experience,  getting out of these contracts is harder than jumping over your house. I was told I had to send a LETTER which must be opened by the dead line or the contract rolls over, I had to send a special delivery letter to be sure it arrived. The person who booked the contract was never there and then he had left the company.

I am sorry that this sort of call is allowed to take place in the UK and it is a cold call to a blocked number. The company should be ashamed of the quality of the caller however I am sure his frustration is born of frustration and the fact that no sale means no bonus. Some of These company's change names like I change socks, I assume, so they can leave the bad press behind so I suggest you ask how you cancel a contract (get it in writing and read it first) and do a search to see the history of the company and its directors. I am sure there are good companies out there however I can only reflect the experience I had.

This man phoned my mobile 3 times...twice when I was driving (didnt answer).  Tried to find out by phoning back but no reply.  The awful man phoned back and when I asked him what company he was with...I said politely that I wasnt interested and said goodbye.  He started shouting at me on the phone saying I was rude and nasty!!!!!????  Telling me that I was going to be blacklisted (please do!).  When I told him that I had already been scammed out of money I could ill afford he started to become really abusive.  Me?  I was just as abusive back and he wouldnt let me cut the call off....numpty!  I live in hope that he finds a way of coping with his very stressful life and maybe finds a better job where he doesnt have to speak to customers!

This person called me trying to offer a 30 day free listing on google. I told him I am not interested as I never deal with cold callers and ended the call. He actually had nerve on calling me back, - I let the call go into my voicemail,  and he left and abusive message.
I doubt this person has anything to do with Google, there are so many different scams out there. If he does work for a legit company, I hope they'll sack him.

I received a message from this number yesterday, and no message was left. I have added it to my bar list.

I have had this type of call before. They are promising to raise the rankings of your business in Google for your search word, even though mine is a residential number, and they have no idea what my search word would be if I were interested!

I too received a call from this obnoxious man. When I told him I was not interested and had allocated all my advertising monies for the next 6 months he was really really abusive. He told me that it was free (yeah right and I'm the cow that jumped over the moon) and that if I hadn't been so ignorant I would have found out and put the phone down. Sadly he got to the 'cut off idiotd' button before I did. I think if he phones again I'll offer him free stress and anxiety sessions, just to save us all from his awful attitude. I think I might have a tough job ahead of me tho.

Yes same for me today. Wanted £120 to put my name at top of google. When I said I couldn't make a decision right away he started pressurising me. I asked for evidence he is from Google. He assured me I would get a welcome pack on joining but I said I wanted proof now. I've not seen anything. He called me back later but I did not get the call as I was out of range. He left a message on my voicemail complaining I had blocked his call and that he found it disgusting I should do that! Unbelievable!

I received a call from this person this evening too. He said that he was an expert in my field and when I told him that I had experienced google adwords before and it didn't work for me and that advertising on facebook was more profitable, he reckined he could get me confirmed converted clients for £14 each. I suggested he put his money where his mouth is and produce the goods before I pay and I thought he had hung up. I then got a voicemail later from him saying I was a T**t and rude for hanging up (which I would never do) and that he would work with me now. (Phew) and that if I changed my ringtone I'd get more clients. He's obviously assuming that I haven't got many clients. I am obviously buier than he is.

Received a call from this piece of scum today, simply said I wasn't interested and he spat his dummy out like the underpaid, uneducated, jumped up low life he is. My children were even listening to him on speaker phone laughing at his tantrum.  When I asked to speak to his manager he said he was the manager and hung up. Tried to phone him back but he would not answer and he was searching for his dummy.

Just a post to let everyone know that Ad Rank One are SCAMMERS! Beware - overpriced SEO with ZERO results, they hold customers to ransom over domains customer owns (trying to charge extortionate fees to give customers their own domains), wont let customers transfer web hosting providers, the list goes on...

Avoid this company like the plague.

I have been called several times by this man and he has always been both hyper in his sales technique and then abusive when politely told no.  This time I blocked his office no and his mobile but he then used another number to get hold of me in order to literally scream abuse about how stupid counsellors are.  He seems highly unstable and deeply offensive.  I hope that no one ever uses this man's service.  He has managed to hide reviews very successfully as it has taken me over an hour of searching to find this site to upload a warning about him.

This company is Adrank One and the mans name is Matt Williamson, and the woman's name is Carol. I have had nothing but trouble with his company and his attitude. He has taken my money for months and done nothing for my websites. Do not use them they are not genuine. He is very aggressive and very scary.
