This number has called me everyday, at least 3 times for the last 6 months.....
I used to cut it off as soon as it rings, but they call back about 5 minutes later.
What I now do is answer it, and then put the phone on mute....  Result!!!

rings during office hours monday to friday constantly, I've not answered until reading about them on here, so I have done a couple of times now and just left the call open, but they ring off ! I'm with TPS etc but makes no difference to this number !

01612494522  calls at least once or twice a day. As soon as I answer  the line is dead. When they do reply they ask for my son and when I say what is it about they preach they are unable to say due to the Data Protection Act.  So I replied due to the Data Protection Act I cant tell them when he will be in!!!
Called twice again today and I did tell them I will take futher action if they dont stop, the man said he would delete our number, so we will have to see.
Does a company like Chamleon Telesales think after pestering people all times of the day, sometimes not answering, really think that if you did want to claim that you would use them. I dont think so.
I can feel a few swear words might do the trick next time, as you just know there will be another time.

Phoned the number back (Action Claims) to be told that not only do they NOT have a Customer Complaints department, which is a complete lie, but that I also needed to supply them with my name, address, and phone number. I declined, told the guy there was no way I was giving him any information, and promptly phoned the Chameleon Telesales Complaints Department 0845 6881233. Just gave them the mobile number, and the lady told me she would remove it immediately. So far, so good!

For 2 months now I have been getting calls from 01612494522 on both my home and mobile numbers. They apparently need to speak to my wife who has already told them to stop calling. I have told them to stop calling politely, rudely and every way but they just don't stop. Today I spoke to a young man who dropped the phone on me and then I called back and got another member of staff who promised to remove my numbers from their calling system. I have made it clear that if I receive another call I am going to the police as this does constitute harrassment. I cannot wait for tomorrow! By the way the company behind the calls is guess - Chameleon Telesales - how appropriate.

Just answered a call from this number - apparantly i can claim for an accident I've never had!! I said no & hung up. A friend of mine says its a scam and has been on watchdog!

I have had calls since mid January!!!!!! Every DAY AAARRRGGG!!!
Won't tell hubby who they are and I answer they put the phone down.
I was involved in a accident not my fault I'm insured with SWIFT COVER
So after reading all the post here it seems swift cover have advices this lot of mutes that can only talk when anyone apart from my self answer!!! Really fed up every day since January you'd have thought they'd get the message by now!! Im going to mail them now. If they continue what more can I do to make the ejits get the message?

Im receiving this same type of call also from 01457778260  trying to make me make a claim for an accident last March. Bt Nuisance Call help are dealing with this 0800411422 for anyone on BT  then this morning the 01612494522 rings instead with the same Line. Not sure if this is the same company or wether its a case of if one firm is bocked they pass your number on to somebody else.
    Ive been told by the Police these people can be Prosecuted if they persist in ringing and being requested not to do

01612494522 - Called me, no idea who they were as they hung up. Rung them back from a private number it's some sort of claim line. I haven't had any accidents or claims so ignore them! Action Claims? The guy sounded like he was on a mobile as he kept breaking up.

This number is a so called "ambulance chasing solicitors firm". Probably got your number from the National Insurance database who sell them our numbers! You may well have made a claim with your car or something some time ago!

Sorry, I'm led to believe the name of the company is Allied Claims!

Just had wo calls within a minute of each other from this number, both times I waited for the caller to speak first which they did after a long wait

this number keeps calling me then when you answer the line goes dead....

Some Northern monkey who sounded drunk, called saying it is Chameleon. WHO??? A claims company? Never heard of them. Have no claims to make. So hung up. Will tell them to do one when they ring again! Calls are recorded. Good. They will therefore record me telling them NOT to call again and will be notifying the Police.
