    Call apparently from BT, knew my name, said I had been paying my BT bill for a long time and that they could give me a discount, unlimited minutes in the daytime and other incentives but the line was so bad and crackly I told him I couldn't hear a lot of what he was saying as it was a bad line considering it was BT and he hung up mid-conversation.
