mdr...moorcroft debt recovery.......not a registered number......be causious !!!!!

just got a letter with this number saying i owe £153.99 due to a missed payment to my mobile phone supplier, however my phone or even my internet from the same supplier has no bars. i called up my service provider and they confirmed that i owe no money. going to call them tomorrow to see what the f**k they are playing at!  even entered the reference into the website on the letter and every link asked me to enter my address details.

the lady from my service provider said the letter from Moorcraft Debt Recovery limited should have an 0845 number and some sort of mobile number (the one im supposed to owe money to) on it, however this letter had only this number above on it.

best advice, call the person the debt is relating to first just to double check, once you get clearance from them that you owe no money, you can tell the debt people to get in touch with them and they will apparently wipe the debt, and if they turn out to be dodgy, tell them to F**K OFF! i know i will be first thing tomorrow

they ring me constsantly about a debt "apparently" owed on my mobile phone bill.
they use threatening behaviour in letters and some of the stuff said in their letters dont even exist!!

Yes! I received same letter today said they are instructed by o2,to collect my outstanding balance:£179.38. The first time received the letter it’s annoying me,because I definitely know my phone bill is clear every month by direct debit.I wasted my half day time to find out with o2.But they said all my payment is clear up to date. And the customer services ask me to returns the letter and tell them the account on the letter is not belong to me.blablabla~ until I seen the message here. I won’t doing anything seriously ,because now I know they are scammer,I don’t want to wasting more time to “playing the stupid game “ with scammer.on the letter they even have 24 hours payment hotline.Lol. Are u joking me?all the proper office,working hour is only 9-5pm. So everyone pls be common sense and aware all those scammer letter or call. Don’t wasting your precious time.
