Why did you change all your numbers?

These people have been cold calling us for years they are known by several names including

PCSA International
Criminal Justice Management
Public Service (you would have thought they could do better than that)

They are nasty hard sellers who spend up to 45 mins trying to butter you up and then try to sell you advertising space

The number was changed because of our work there essentially - we're like a middle east revolution but on a much smaller scale (and with a slightly reduced level of atrocities)! (tongue firmly in cheek there, no offence).

If you are goingh to do business with this lot then here is a breakdown of the actual prices they will accept (and not the stupid numbers they will try and extract from you)

Journals : 1 page - £1500-£1600
              2 pages - £3k. also ask for a page of edit.

Public Servant - 1/2 page - £1200
                       Fullpage - £2200

Events -      Insert - £1k
                 Stand - £2500
                 Masterclass - £4000

They will say to you 'keep it confidential, everyone else is paying full price etc' but its a lie and they just take whatever they can get.

And if you have paid more than this they you have been had.

Most important of all though is to know that nothing they do is worth anything like these figures.

INVESTIGATOR, CHARLIE SHEEN, STEVE, MATT & STAN.

I can assure you I'm an individual, not multiple personalities, and entirely unrelated to PCSA except in the capacity of having been harassed repeatedly by them. I have, however, become  quite committed to bringing on the early demise of PSCA in any way possible, hence my ongoing input here (every little helps as they say).

I've also reported a couple of the more pointless posts above as "abuse" as the familiar tactic of "make it look like a youtube argument and people won't take it seriously" will not be allowed to distract from the message this time.

The old thread is still 5th in the google rankings for "PSCA International" and if you type "psca" followed by a single space into google search, the 3rd most popular result is "PSCA Complaints".

Says it all really :)

Just received an emailf rom this lot advertsising one of their events. I am concerned that they continually namecheck speakers who are merely invited and not yet confirmed.

In this case it is Eric Pickles who they are bandying about  but I have seen other emails with senior politicians named and am well aware that nine times out of ten that person does not agree to speak at the event.

What is to stop them putting anyone's name down? The Pope? Barack Obama? The Dali Lama?

This is dubious practice and misselling in my eyes.

used to work for PS and I would like to say this. They do have a sales process that most people will view as a hard sell. and the staff genuinely do not work with computers on thier desk. the reason they can send and email is because the person asking for an email is trying to fob the sales person off.

"sounds good, send me an email, and call me back on thursday"

Im sorry but your fobbing off the sales person. were trained to know when your trying to f*** us off so we challenge your objection.... you do the same thing when your sellling your own products or service to your potential clients.. you try and guage weather they are genuinely interested or just bieng polite.

i hear someone complaining that we butter you up for 50 mins and then hard sell.

this works....

if we said " hi im calling to sell you advertising" you would hang up immediately. so we do a fact find. this is to get rapport with you and get information about your needs so that we can use it against you when closing later. we lead you into saying that you find it difficult getting your message across to the nessessary people in the public sector so we can present our product as the solution!

basic sales.... you do it yourself when ure trying to sell your stuff to your clients....

and about the making a decision now thing.......

its common sense. if we pitch for an hour of our time and your proper interested and you have bought into the need and see the sense. why think about it... what your saying is you want to think about not doing it. you talk yourself out of it. thats why we push you into saying yes now. coz if its not now its never going to happen. we know that.

yes we try all the tricks in the book to get past the receptionist.... duuuuuhhh. you absalute idiots.. you employ and train receptionists to fend off sales calls. so we call them gatekeepers.. we get around them by baffling them with important political talk and sometimes we go thru to your accounts department to try and bully the untrained admin girls to put us through. us sales people are ALWAYS better than you..... we are more intelligent than you.... we earn more than your managing directors.

Sales makes the world go around. if it wasnt for sales people you wouldnt even be in business yourself. salespeople have sold you the stuff that got your business where it is today. were trained to make you buy...

I invite anyone to work for PSCA for 1 month. even all you managing directors and CEO's. yes you have got your business to where it is today but your not the best you can be until you have sold a pcsa pruduct.

after working for PSCA international I am a lethal salesperson. i can sell anything. i can push people into buying. i can draw information out of you and use it against you so you are in a corner and feel stupid saying no...

BUYERS ARE LIARS.. so they train us to square up to you in battle. we challenge everything you say to get us of the phone. when you are on the phone to us we see it as... YOU HAVE MY MONEY.. YOU HAVE MY 10% COMMISSION. AND IM GOING TO GET IT OR IL PRESSURE THE S**T OUT OF YOU UNTIL YOU CRY  TO YOUR MUMMY!

your not proper salespeople or business people until you have been trianed by psca and endured at least 3 months there.

How can 'speakers include' someone who is merely 'invited'?

This is done to mislead and obfuscate. They are well known in governmnet circles for this sort of thing (and worse). My advice to any comanies thinking of getting involved with this lot? DON'T.
