These calls are from Advanced Independent Monitoring who monitor burglar alarms. If you get a call your mobile must be on the list of key holders for the address they give (along with the contract number) in the text message they also send to you. I had this having forgotten I was on my son's list for his home alarm.

I work for ADT let me put our side across to this. Firstly this number is a carrier line, if you try to call it back you get an automated message saying who we are and why we called. If we have left you a voicemail it will have the correct number on to call along with the contract reference number to quote, we also send texts. It really is frustrating when all we're doing is our job and we get verbally abused from some people. Please remember that if we are ringing you in regards to an alarm activation then your number has been provided to us by somebody, generally the account holder.  Nobody likes being called in the middle of the night, granted. But we are there to monitor alarm systems and as most break ins occur at night this is when the alarm will activate and as such you will get the call.  If for any reason you no longer wish to be a key holder please just request that we remove your number from the account

Report this nuisance to the  regulators as they seem incompetent at the very least=== https://ico.org.uk/

For what?  We're a legitimate company providing a service to homes and businesses that they pay us to provide.  Oh and how are we incompetent?  You tell me and I'll tell you what to do

You are wasting your time, mate, some people would rather just vent their spleen than actually read these posts. Guaranteed after another couple of posts someone will be asking. "Who called me, who's number is this". Watch this space.

I'm beginning to think you're right mate.  We get moaned at when we contact people if their alarm goes off, a service that they ask for. If someone turned up to their home or work and it had been ransacked and they hadn't had a call they would be on the phone quick enough to us then

NOT a scam (unlike the vast majority of calls I get these days). I checked with my daughter whose alarm was triggered at 5 am today, apparently because of a fault, so ADT were ringing me because I'm a keyholder for the property.

I got a call at 5.30am this morning but didn't hear it.
The only house I'm keyholder for is my own, and the alarm didn't go off. It's definitely for this house as my mum also got a call as a key holder.

This was the number that called me at home then my mobile to say my house alarm was ringing. Next step is the police are called if required.   IN MY Case it was certainly warranted.

Be warned, was called by this number and caller asked for my alarm pass code as he claimed my alarm was going off. It wasn't as he rang me at home and no alarm has been set never mind triggered. Hung up when I told him this!
