When I got back from holiday I contacted the Company and said look this is a mistake as BT want £300.00 termination fees they Unicom said no problem we will pay that !! now this is a strange way to do business, how have you got on ?

Unicom CAN'T send the bailiffs.  They would need to apply at Court for a CCJ against you first and they would have to prove to the Judge that you owe them this money.  However, Unicom have Never taken anyone to Court for unpaid termination fees - ever.  They have only ever threatened to.  What does that tell you?

I have been harassed by Universal Debt Collectors for over a year now last year they were taking me to court at least once a month always the same guy Mr Williams (idiot!) I was with Unicom for 7 years didn't realise I was in a rolling contract, until I told them I had to close my business due to financial difficulties and was leaving the premises, they told me I owed them £750! They are all Hart! I have complained to Ofcom and the ombudsmen but they must be very friendly with Unicom as they told me Unicom had done nothing wrong!! Could not believe it, I will contact trading standards maybe they will listen, if I ever meet Mr flipping Williams I won't be responsible for my actions!!!!!

Got a few call from this universal debt agency chasing me for £9,000 they say is owed to Unicom. I offered to send all letters from Unicom stating my contract was terminated but they didn't want that, stating I had no letters of the kind. Both companies should be avoided at all costs. Do not ever listen to unicoms false pretence sales pitch and don't ever crumble under universal's  bullying and threat tactics.

    Mr Angry
Universal Debt Collection keep calling me and writing threatening letters demanding nearly £2000! I have never taken out a contract with Unicom and do not owe them anything but they are calling 4-6 times a day. I am just reporting them to the OFT now but would like to truly see them dealt with properly, as they are still operating and threatening people and they need to be stopped. Has anyone else had recent contact from them and do you know what to do about it? Thanks

Interested to hear that they cannot get a County Court judgement as they claim they will do against me. How do you know? I keep getting hassled by them for money I do not owe. I have never even spoken to them or signed anything and yet they are threatening me every day. I about to report them to the OFT but doubt they will do much as they still appear to be trading even after 5+ years of complaints on this website and others. Any ideas what to do? Ignore it? I'm not having them screwing up my credit rating for a "debt" I do not know anything about!

had 8 years of phone line from them, called to end, told I must pay £260 pounds for the privilege.
They ring every couple of days.
Even spoke to one obnoxious Woman and said I wouldn't pay a penny and I was waiting for a court date, so I could respond.
It is Unicoms own debt branch.
No legal rights as far as I can see
