This is a scam. They say they call from Virgin Media, and later inform you that you have a virus slowing down your computer. They will ask you to tell them the colour of your LED on the router and ask you to click the Windows key and R to get to Run and type "eventvwr" which will show normal errors, not hacking attacks as they say. The next step they will ask you to go to https://kodv.info or any other remote desktop site and once connected they will steal all your data, register you and ask you to pay the ransom. They may also steal from your bank online and Paypal if you have passwords saved. They can get to your phone and copy your sim, and two-factor authentification will not help. Hang up, or play the game and tell them that you have logged in and when you did you see them sitting on the chair in Manchester scamming people all over the UK. This is a huge scam, many people, full call centre. Shocking that this is possible in the UK. Another option is that they operate in the Middle East (stated by their accent) and have connected the Manchester landline number as a ghost to fool their victims.
