- SabriI feel like an idiot!!! - I have also just had £249.99 stolen from my debit account by these people. Last night I was searching for a personal loan and then got a call from 0161 9687080 this morning asking if I still wanted the loan. I went through the application like normal when they suddenly asked for my debit card and security number. Alarm bells started to ring but I was silly enough to proceed as they said then needed to 'verify' my account. They put me on hold for about 5 mins, came back and said my loan had been accepted and they would send the paperwork through the post to be signed. I went online to check my banking and noticed a pending transation. I tried to call them back but got no answer! Call my bank who said they can not do anything about it as by giving my card details I have in fact authorised the payment! The only way I can get some money back is if they do not send any paperwork to me within the next 30 days and then LloydsTSB will 'TRY' to get my cash... Not holding my breath.
Please proceed with extreme caution and if it doesn't feel right, do not give them anything. Lesson learn't from my prospective.- Caller: 01619687080

- sharonI have just received the same phone call, asking to verify bank details etc and I stupidly gave them. They told me they were transferring my call but was on hold for 17 mins which I thought was odd! There was no answer when I rang back. I then googled the phone number and found all the comments and cons that they have done. I quickly rang my bank and cancelled my card and reported it to the fraud dept. STAY WELL CLEAR, glad I found out from sites like these before my money was debited and I've learnt a valuable lesson!
- JoanneAgain, the same as people above. I received a phone call from this company on 8/5/09, offering me a loan which I was stupid enough to get taken in by. They advised me that I would have to pay a £49.99 "administration fee" and I was only saved by the fact that there weren't funds in my account to pay it on that day. I have tried constantly to contact this company but the phone just rings and rings. Thanks to this website, I then contacted my bank and cancelled my debit card prior to them being able to debit any money.
People like this who prey on people's vulnerability make me sick. Be warned. - BeckyThis company has rang my house phone asking for a Lauren Hewitt. This person does not live here and I have told them this on numerous occasions and was promised it wouldn't happen again. They still ring me up to 5 times a day and it is driving me mad!!! I am going to contact the police now and have them done for harrasment.
