These people keep ringing and are quite rude but won't say who they are, any ideas?

Got a call from them today. They identified themselves as 'UK Lifestyles' and 'would appreciate if you could help us'. I rang off at that point - sounded like they were going to do a 'survey'.

Had a call from 01704778581 Just hung up when I answered.

The person who called my home was from British Consumers. He was extremely rude, swore at me and told me he will 'screw' my life and credit and actually used the F-word on me.

These guys are obviously idots.  They just called me at home and asked for my sister.  She doesn't live with me and when I asked where they got the number they said they got it from public access databases and then gave me my sisters previous address (still not my address)!

Don't talk to them they obviously are trying to sell something or get your personal details.

I keep getting calls from these.  I found this site useful: http://www.phonespamfilter.co.uk/search.php/01704778581 From that site it appears the number is owned by: Magrathea Telecommunications Limited in Southport.  Though when they dial in, it sounds like the call is being routed by this company and its coming from abroad.  or so it seems to me.

These people are calling me everyday, and when I answer they hang up.

These people call regularly and have only spoken once, even then I could not understand them so I hung up.  Every other time they stay silent and hang up after a few seconds, going to see if talk talk can block this caller.

Just spoken with talk talk, they can trace this number and prevent it from calling you.
maybe worth checking with your provider.

Got a call from this number at 8:25 PM demanding I do a survey for them and when I said it was late and we all had a hard day and we both didn't need this call. A very rude foreign man told me he would "continue calling all night if I said no and then that he would get a bomb, put it inside me and blow me up." I was shocked and asked him what he would do and he replied "I will get a bomb put it inside you and blow you up", he then said that he loved me and called me by my name and had an evil malicious laugh then hung up. Leaving me shaking and in disbelief. I didn't know what to do so i googled the number and it seems that other people have a similar problem with this number and this company has some extremely rude sick employees who need to be reported; but to who?

I have similar experiences over the past few weeks.  Call Magrathea Telecommunications Limited in Berkshire on 0118 321 0321.  A very polite lady explained all they do is sell the facility of 'the number' & apologised for the foreign callers.  I explained it's a reflection their company.  She took my number & called her client (Euro UK I think she said) & asked for my number to be removed.  If this is not done within 24 hours, they suspend the number.

I also recommend you go on line & register for the TPS (telephone preference service).

I hope this helps as the original caller was both persistent & very rude.

Yes,I kept asking where he got my number and when I told him to take it off his data base he just hug up,I don´t seem to have had as much abuse as some other people,why is it possible or even necessary to have private numbers for sale,I´m sure that I asked to be ex-directory when I got the phone,ejits
