They're a Company called Alpha FX - they convert money cheaply (in their opinion!) from one currency to another. Nothing dodgy; our company has used them several times.

Sorry to seem stupid, but why would a currency exchange company cold call?  Surely this is something you would do at a Bureau de Change, Travel Agency or Bank.

Two calls from Alpha FX both times have asked if they are foreign exchange company and the bloke just keeps talking what is it with these types "I have been looking at your company" Me "are you a foreign exchange company" Him "I have been looking at your company" bla bla this quote is from their web site (Alpha is a foreign exchange specialist providing bespoke advisory and execution services to corporates and institutions) they just keep going dont they they have got hold of a name and keep ringing, I am not obliged to put any one through just because they have a sense of entitlement and a faux plumy accent.

They do pester aa bit on the phone.  I've blocked them
