Whys this number calling me at 2.20am

This Places for People, seriously annoyed about this call as they have a note on their system not to telephone me about anything. Was a follow up call to a workman calling at my address without an appointment to do work I had not booked and was not needed.

Hiya. I was expecting a call so answered this when it rang me for a second time. If anyone has a property from places for people its their out bound repairs call centre. Hope this helps.

This is Places For People - They have property maintenence contracts with major landlords.  From this number they phone their landlords' tenants in order to make appointments to get acccess to do the statutory annual Gas Safety checks and fix electrical faults and so on

This number rang for just a couple of seconds but then hung up before I could answer.  If it carries on I'm reporting them to the TPS.

i tried to call this number back but an automated voice told me that the number was not recognized

I ignored a call from this number (as I keep getting unwanted calls lately from various numbers) and they called again straight after. I ignored the second call too, and they then left a message saying it was Places for People and they had tried to visit our property to check the meter but could not gain access, so they have rebooked the appointment for a month's time, and if they cannot gain access on that date they will cap the meter. I get that they are a genuine company but the whole situation seems odd to me because (a) I have been in all day and nobody has knocked, (b) we own our home and don't understand why that particular company would be trying to check our meter. I am wondering whether it is something the previous owners forgot to cancel as they had the property tenanted (we've only lived here a few months) but if that's the case then how did PfP get this phone number, which we brought with us when we moved? I think I am going to wait and see if they call again and if so I will answer and ask them to verify the details they have, as I fail to see how they can have our phone number linked to this address. I will be surprised if this turns out to be legit!

Left a message saying that they were the gas men and as it was their 2nd visit and I wasn't there they were capping my gas. I rang my gas company - they said that it was nothing to do with them.

I recieved a call from this number at 03.54hrs absolutely gobsmacked why Places for people would be ringing me at that hour of the morning
