    called me PRETENDING to be BT but could not name account holder and got quite rude when their pitch started to unravel. Don't report cold callers to TPS if you are TPS registered as this is ran by the telesales industry. Report direct to ICO.GOV

    BT Customer Street has become a repeat offender in Unsolicited Calls. Their marketing strategy is as surreptitious as www.experian.co.uk i.e. give them your details for FREE and they start to charge you etc.

    BT Customer Street is nothing but another advertising scam. Don’t use it !!

    We have a number of websites online that clearly state under our numbers that All Unsolicited Telephone Marketing Calls are logged and reported to Corporate PTS.

    Last year we took action against three firms by recording their 0844/0845 Premium Numbers, checking our phone records to see how many times their calls were forwarded onto our mobile i.e. we paid for the premium call connection to our mobile (Scam) and tracked them down using websites like these.

    We ultimately sent them a letter stating that we are now taking legal action via PTS and attached an invoice for the cost or the calls, our administration costs; Google Ads estimated clicks, and damages i.e. £760 each.

    This resulted in managers calling us trying to resolve the situation trying to get out of paying the invoice and emailing us promising to never call our numbers again etc.

    However they did call again and again. So we pushed for the invoices to be paid and they paid up to avoid this going to www.ico.gov.uk, www.tpsonline.org.uk or taking action via www.moneyclaim.gov.uk .

    Fight back, and send invoices to these law breakers and shut them down for good i.e. £760 x 10 = £7,600 and they have no alternative but to pay out.

    This related to a sales call during which a consumer agreed to sign up to a three month trial period. The consumer did not wish to proceed beyond the trial period, but claims monies have been taken from his account without his consent. This complaint was upheld as it is a breach of direct marketing standards not to address consumer and business complaints. Complaint upheld.
