Scam telephone call received on Wedesday 7 August 2024 saying
"The charges from your card this morning:  the first charge is a £300 from Amazon and the second charge is £1,100 on an international money transfer website. We believe you to be suspicious of unauthorised transactions because you have never used these services in the past through your card.  To allow these transactions, press 1 to cancel or speak to our support team press 2. Thank you."
Give aways: Our name was not known.  The name of the bank was not given.  The grammar in the message is flawed.
And the obvious one: we haven't purchased anything from Amazon or from an international seller!
