Yep everyday they call my iphone when i'm at work
They must be getting our info from O2

Yep: they called me. I never answer the phone if I don't recognise the number/area code. If someone doesn't leave a message they're always dodgy...and guess what they didn't leave a message! I also have an iphone so we probably have Apple or O2 to blame for this as they are obviously giving out information they shouldn't be. Data Protection Act and all that...

Had calls from this number for 2 days on the trot. I have not answered the calls and did a google search. Again I have an iPhone and recently upgraded it to the new one via an o2 store. During the first 8 months of the contract that I took out I never had this problem.

This company is calling me everyday! Never answer, never will.

I too had a call from this number, I am a brand new iPhone customer.

I was reading the other day that applications installed onto iPhones have access to all data on your phone and have the ability to send that data to a remote server controlled by the application developer. There is one application in particular that has come under fire for uploading address books of those users who install the application.

I wonder if this is the case here?

The application mentioned was Aurora Feint and is a free game for iPhone users...

Anyone else have this app installed? This may be the source of the information leaking out of our phones?

Got another one today - E-mailed O2 to ask if they can block the number but apparently they cannot.

This time i just declined the call straight away and of course they did not leave a message.

I've now answered this cal in order to confirm who it is. It's a company in Swansea called "BrightPhone" and they ask you to confirm that you are paying £9.99 phone insurance. When you say no (as I guess everyone does) they start into the sales patter.

I asked where they got my number from and the lady said that they use a computer system which "randomly dials numbers".

I politely said I didn't want to talk to them and hung up.

Save yourself some bother by adding this number to your address book with the name "SALES CALL" :o)

nobody wants your product, those that do will call you, and if you are not scammers then you are doing your reputation more harm than good by cold calling everyone like this!

now know to avoid the call, I too have an iphone, no probs til I upgraded to the new one today!

Got the same calls when I got the original iPhone - I guess they figured out that O2 must be issuing the numbers from a known block of available numbers (Me and my brother managed to get sequential numbers) - now they guess that most original iPhone purchasers will be upgrading the b@*t*rd$

3rd call from these wan*ers today. Rang them up asking how they got my number and they said they had several sources. When I asked to be removed she said she would. When I asked her to repeat the number I had called from she couldn't. When I asked to speak to her supervisor she said he wasn't in. When I asked for the address of the registered office she said she didn't know what I was talking about to which I told her what I thought of her and the service and hung up.

Hopefully they won't call me again.

I have been reading all the comments here with some interest.  These people call me everyday at various different times but I don't think they are iphone/O2 specific.  I do not have an iphone and my contract is with T-Mobile.  I have saved this number under PEST (as recommended by a comment on this website) and just do not answer when they ring.

3 calls to my iPhone.... ignoring them. G/F had a call they told her she was paying £9.99 a month for insurance... at that point she realised it was a scam. Told them so and hung up.

I suggest you all write to them threatening legal action as none of us have consented to being contacted. They are in breach of the Data Protection Act 1998 or at least the company that sold the list of our numbers is... Happy Hunting.

Got a couple of calls from this number this week, iPhone user on o2 here too.

I received a call from this number this morning..caller hung up on answering..I've added it to my rejection list - this should prevent any further calls from this number getting through!

i got a call today, i am VODAFONE.  not o2, for the record.  its a company phone so i keep ringing them back.

Just had a call off this number, they hung up. I made the mistake of ringing back n it was an automated machine! Didnt listen to what it had to say i just hung up! I bet its gonna charge me loads on my bill!
Googled the number and came up with this... Really hope its not charged me now :(
