I've had 3 missed calls from this number the last two days. I've recently just got a new phone and not many people will have my number either. I'm sure I answered a call from this number just days after me getting my phone asking if everything was ok with my handset and trying to sell me cheaper insurance...seems all a bit suspicious to me.

Where did you all get your phone from ? i got mine from Phones4U and its on vodafone, ive had several calls from mobile numbers asking about cheaper insurance saying P4U have cut the cost of their insurance, im gonna go in tomorrow, if they aint they can stuff their phone cuz either p4u or Vodafone are supplying our details without permission, a guy admitted that after having a go at him on the phone i made him prove to me he was a legit company saying they get a db from vodafone im interested to hear where you both your your phones from !

I think it's a company in Swansea called Domway, but they trade as phonesecure. They try to tell you that your phone insurance price has been halved as a special deal for vodafone customers.  Basically they make it sound like if you've took out the insurance they are halving that, they're not, they're selling you another policy.

Me too. That's about the 7th call from a so-called insurance company. Vodafone says some of them are crooks. But how do they get the numbers? Does Vodafone sell them? Guy from Vodafone says no but I wonder...

Advice is report them to Vodafone and if they call again tell the police.

I've had about 10 calls in past month from people selling phone insurance. only adivise I would have is to register you number with TPS (telephone preferance Serice) it's then ileagal for them to call you....

I had a call from them on 27th Feb saying they could reduce my mob phone insurance to £75. They made me give card details and said they would confirm via text msg in 10 mins and also send a certificate through. After 2hrs and no text message I got suspicious so cancelled my bank card and reported fraud on my account. By then the £75 had already come out. I received the insurance certificate which said I could cancel in writing within 14 days and would be refund all monies. Its now 8th May and after several phonecalls and letters I'm still waiting for this shower to give me back my £75!

Also they say it will show on your bank statement as domway ltd, it doesn't - it shows as cash. This is their sneaky way of the payment not being traced back to them!

    Hi,
I have been using the company Domway for 2 yrs now and made 2 claims without a problem and they are the cheapest insurance company i have been with but they are not frauds. I received a phone call from them a week after getting my new Vodafone mobile from Phones4U but i hadn't given my mobile no. out to anyone yet, so either vodafone or phones 4u are selling the contact numbers on.
Although i have found domway good, they will continue to phone and pester you until you decide to go with them or ask to be removed from their lists.
    Cheers

hi  be very careful with this company. I had a call just after upgrading with vodaphone, they took £79.99  from my bank account for insurance .  No policy forthcoming and am having to go through the fraud dept at my bank to resolve ( if poss !!) the issue.  They made out they were with vodaphone turns out they aren't.  I had recently bought a second phone from phones4u and think they had my number from there. They trade from 27 mansel st swansea and 166-167 st helens rd swansea.

I put my new SIM card in yesterday (I'm on O2)this number was the first number to call me at 10:30pm!!! - I didn't pick it up.
So far this morning they have called twice.  I haven't answered, they can keep calling but they won't get any response.

I got my phone from Phones4U and was later told by someone who used to work there that they sell your new mobiles numbers to them & that a list of all new mobiles numbers & models sold is sent at the end of each shift to the company who are based in Wales and is called Domway.
the company is very persistent and will phone up to 3 or 4 times a day, but if you just tell them that you have insurance they will stop phoning.
but i must stress that this company is not fake or fraudulent - i think that all the complaints above about them not being able to contact the company and people hanging up the phone and being cheeky is a load of "fabrication" to say the least!
why not check out the company on the government website - it is a vat registered company.
One thing also, all these people that took out the insurance policy when they were called then tried to cancel it, one piece of advice for you........
The next time someone phones offering insurance, JUST SAY NO!!!
It's very simple, and stops you having to phone back again and cancel your policy, they don't hold a gun to your head!!!! i havnt had a single call from the first week i got my phone!!!

I keep getting missed calls from this number, as i work full time i cant answer whilst im at work. Each time they call i call them back as soon as i can. They are constantly engaged. Firstly i would love to know how the heck they have my number & who has gave them it without my permission? Im am on T-Mobile, has anybody had the same problems as me?

I got a call from this number saying "You MUST buy telephone insurance". I basically told him to get lost, then got on to T-Mobile. I told them I didn't want any unsolicited calls from anyone offering any services. They said there's a number you can call called the Telephone Privacy Service. If you call them on 0845 0700707 and give them your number, by LAW, they have to take your number  off any existing databases. From then on, you shouldn't get any of these annoying sales calls.
