I, too, have been getting inundated with calls from this, and other numbers.  I merely "liked" an ad on facebook about "news" that the guv-ment was "forgiving" student loans.

I asked that my name be taken off the call list, but got hung up on.  I answered one call from the 018 . . . number yesterday, and a man said "hello," but when I also said it, he hung up immediately.  If they want to rip people off by suckering them in to loans, then why do they play the games?  I have to wonder if they are somehow able to glean information, merely by someone answering their phone!

A man called John Smith called me regarding my student loan and he knew more information about me than I was comfortable with.  When he asked me for my Social Security number I told him no, I need to speak with my husband first and that I would call him back and asked for a number to reach him at.  I also asked him for the company website (which came up legit but...). He claimed he was in California but the website states the company was on the East coast. Hmmmm  Obviously I did not call him back.  He called back again and said you didn't call me back.  Folks this number tracks back to Israel.  I thought my vonage service blocked international calls??
