selling sky protection insurance

what a scam am trying to get 120 back from them at the moment. did they see me coming. said they were sky and as my renewal was due i fell for it.....

If you receive a call from this number claiming to be ringing from Sky TV regarding your repair protection plan and requesting your bank details as they are cheaper than the plan you currently have. Don't under any circumstances give this information to them as this is a scam to take money from your bank account.
Most people have repair protection plans with a local provider or directly with Sky. Please be aware of these cretins who want your hard earned cash

i have to disagree, had a call from these people regarding my sky tv and after reading a few of these previously (had a few missed calls from this number in the past)  i asked a few trick questions to see how he was going to play it ie. are you calling from sky, am i with you at the moment and do you have my bank details all to which he responded as expected, 'no im calling from ids' 'no were calling regarding your initial manufacturers cover' and 'no weve never had your bank details, this is a new policy'. Anyway i took out the 2 year plan with them, 2 payments of £60 and used them about a month later when the kids knocked the dish out of place playing football.
For those of you that think your covered by sky i would think again, your actually with domestic and general!! they simply pay sky to use there logo so when you receive the paperwork you assume your with sky, but if you turn it over and look right to the bottom of the page, in the smallest writing ever you will actually see its says domestic and general... very honest and up front. Personally i had alot of trouble with domestic and general in the past and found there engineers to be very rude but i spose thats just a matter of opinion.
Just thought i would add my personal experience as a customer of this company as i see alot of you have given them a hard time because youve had missed calls without even actually speaking to them. if we dont help these little companies then we will soon be over run by giants like domestic and general charging us the earth because they can!

Independent Digital Services Limited are also registered, No: 539984 with the Financial Services Authority.  has anyone received any documentation from this firm?  If it is an insurance backed product, customers are entitled to cancellation rights.

I am experiencing problems with my sky plus box. and have been telephoning the above number to report the fault since Saturday 28th. I have had no problems in the past gettting an engineer to call but this time I am having no response at all. My email address is marlenefrank@hotmail.co.uk, are you able to shed any light on this matter?  I really would appreciate some help on this matter.  They initially contacted me in September 2010 by telephone.

ids r good never had any trouble with then thay r fsa reg now wich is good but if u look on the fas reg u will see whos reg or not and im very happy with the service thay provide

If you are so satisfied with this company, why are you posting on here now?  The post before yours was in January, so you haven't just seen it and thought you would respond.  This site is to report unknown, unwanted and scam calls.  Positive posts are usually made by the companies involved to try and make them look legitimate.  An elderly, recently widowed, friend was scammed by three of these companies.  Strangely enough they were all in the same South Coast area as Worthing.  It is the opinion of Action Fraud that most, if not all, of these scammers are run by the same gang, rather than by individuals.

Did it also take you to the other number this company use, as i have just seen your other post.  If you were satisfied with them for twelve months, why come on here to see what people are saying about them?  If you had not had any problems with them what would it matter what other people said?  There are even more complaints on the other number.
