This number has phoned several times over the last couple of weeks offering an "opportunity" to advertise on Facebook.  Each time I say I'm not interested but still they call. I guess non of the people they have pestered has seized the "opportunity" so it's still being flogged like the dead horse it undoubtedly is.

How can you possibly identify this as a Facebook 'scam' if none of you have actually signed up to it? I have been in contact with the above company for the last 6 weeks and have been more than happy with the service they offer my National Company.

With all due respect if you do not wish to be contacted by marketing companies it is easy to register yourselves on the Telephone preference Scheme that BT offer you free of charge.

It's an advertising company with a very hard sell approach, selling managed pay per click advertising. Very rude and pushy.

Actually they do not offer a 'pay per click' scheme at all. Its facebook advertising based on impressions and demographics. You clearly do not know what you are talking about. This website does state that only FACTUAL comments must be left, so please refrain from replyong if you are not supplying others with correct information.

Additional to the above, nobody at the company you are talking about is a 'hard seller'.. If you dont want a product you simply say no and dont take it.

    Common sense really.

The company who are calling you is a company based in Warrington called Connect Media Marketing.

    Website found:  www.connectmediamarketing.com

The business is exaggerated beyond belief, in actual fact there are a handful of sales staff cold calling businesses on a daily basis via internet business listings.
Connect Media Marketing is run by a young lady named Sarah Collinge who previously worked as a sales advisor selling the exact same product. They are now in direct competition. The difference is, the company she worked for is reputable and well established whilst  Connect Media is simply a 'business' that a young, naïve, greedy girl decided to set up to make a quick buck.
Ian Bisset is the sales manager there, google him and see the results. They speak for themselves. As for the staff that they have, roughly a sales team of 5 and 2 trained account managers.

Anyone who wants more information feel free to ask.

In reply to your question. Rather hypocritical when your a personal trainer. I can get fit myself but I would still pay a professional to help me do a good job. This company is advertising professional services, although they do not have the experience, staff nor the sense.

You do obviously know well the way they work...maybe you work for them as well?
Faceboo ads are actually ppc based...maybe you should go on a Paid Search course yourself.

Why would I work for the named company and then slander them or reveal all this information? I wouldn't. As I've already said I have a friend who took the campaign out and got stung.
No offence, but I'm here to help people and provide factual information, perhaps if you don't have anything to add that is of any help or use, you can go and reply elsewhere.
I have also never mentioned that Facebook DON'T offer a pay per click scheme, I merely explained that Connect Media do not offer that particular way of advertising. They offer a fixed amount based on impressions. Perhaps you can go on a course to read properly?

    Clearly a spot of fanboyism!

    oh dear
    c'mon girls, stop fighting now.

I only came on here to find out who they were, not the ins and outs and who's who or arguments about biased or non biased info.

Either way, I don't want their service and if they ring me again i'll tell them. If they persistently ring me like Click Life Insurance, then i'll make it known :)

Oh Dear Jamie..... Let me just clarify your slander,

It has just been pointed out to me that "Jamie" has posting on this site, let me point out a few things...

1 - If "Jamie" is just someone who has a friend that has been "stung" how on earth would he know that I (Sarah) used to be a sales advisor? I have turned the internet inside out looking for this information and it is clearly not available. (1st mistake)
2 - Ian Bisett is NOT the sales manager and again cannot be found on the internet. (second mistake)
3 - This is the best!!!!! To suggest that both I (Sarah) and Ian used to work for a "reputable and well established" company is a joke, here's a fact about the where they used to work -

Companies original Name - Lavora Marketing Est Oct 2007

Starting selling Google to small businesses on the understanding that they were signing up for 1 month at a time and didn't see fit to advise them that at the end of the month their account would automatically renew and then they are deemed to be in month 2 which automatically means they are tied into month 3 so straight away he robbed them of £300, to add insult to injury the money that the
customers spent with Lavora was unfortunately lining the directors pockets instead of being spent on advertising on Google, this went on to such an extreme that Google have now issued a court case to the director banning him and the company from selling or being associated with Google in any way!!!

So....... unethically the director then went on to rebrand the business to 'Answer IT Group T/A First Point' offering the same clients the "fantastic opportunity" to waste their money on Facebook advertising instead.

The one fact that "Jamie" got right is that I (Sarah) did used to work for Lavora. In my time there I established that the product's have alot of potential should they be sold and managed professionally with the customers best intentions being fundamental. So yes in July 2010 I decided that I had enough knowledge and backing to open a professional business with qualified personel. Not to make a "quick buck" but to work with a product that I know and understand. Working closely with our customers in order to provide them with a professional service that is giving them the return they expect and deserve. I am proud to say that already Connect Media Marketing have grown vastly with a very satisfied customer base, with not one complaint or charge back received and we are also VERY proud suppliers of advertising to Warrington Wolves Rugby League, this sort of backing means we intend to be here for a very long time with customer focus/satisfaction our main priority.

Every business has a start somewhere so yes we are still relatively new but the foundations we are based upon and the knowledge we have will undoubtedly allow us to lead by example in an industry where there is a need for honesty and integraty.

Thank you for taking the time to raed this.
