Well this seems to be a pattern, then.

I was dialled by this number while on a trip to China, having never encountered it before. I didn't want to cost myself the money to answer it, though.

Maybe China Mobile are passing on numbers of foreign phones in China to whoever it is.

I´m in China as well and I received 2 calls from this number late night that I didn´t recognize and I didn´t pick up.

Just had a call from this number on my personal UK mobile phone. I'm in Bantian, China.

Call was late at night, voicemail left... can't access it though!!

I've been using Skype... some suggest this is Skype calling me. Why?

Just had a call from this number. I have a UK mobile pay as you go. It is 01.05 local time here in China where I am on business travel. I was asleep and thought it was my alarm going off so cut it instead of answering it. When I did not recognise the number I did a "Google" and came across this website. I have now switched my mobile off.
Reading the reports above, it seems there is a pattern and that I am in good company !

The same, guys! I'm travelling around China now, I had some private number calls yesterday and this number today. I didn't answer the calls, so don't know if they would speak my mother tongue :)  I use skype via Wifi  with my phone so maybe there's a a connection.

Same from Guilin, in southern China. Call on my mobile. No answer. I think it mybe spam. Have we all been in Shangai, by any chance? Good trip, anyway.

I just got a call by that number, too!! I have a German pay as you go phone and YES, I am in Shanghai right now... I guess I should just block the number so I dont accidentally pick up the phone and pay for it...

Hello everybody, same number sam story, same city (Shanghai). Just got the phone, didn't answer googled instead (got german number as well). BTW I'm wondering how the hell do they get our numbers - must be CMCC (China mobile corporation or sth.) otherwise it would be very strange... We're being watched :)) So please... Behave... ;))))))

Me too - Beijing this time, UK phone. I did answer after a while as I switched off messaging when I left the UK and it kept ringing. No answer though. I's just been on Twitter and Facebook complaining about censorship. Coincidence?

Should have said I was in Shanghai 3 days ago so Beijing may be a red herring.

Had the same call. Chainese probably trying to make money on roaming charges - do not answer this call cos you'll pay.

Arrived in China yesterday and have had two calls from this number. Not answered, luckily voicemail turned  off so not getting charged.

im in shanghai, got the same unknown missed call from the same number, not going to call back, not bothered. =)

Had a call from this number 2:44am local time in Beijing - frightened the life out of me - I didn't answer but not sure how they got my number....bit worrying?

In China traveling and they called me twice within 2 minutes of me turning my phone on fir the first time since leaving Hong Kong. Didn't answer..

also, I'm in China and I got many calls since I arrive, may be 8 or 10 calls. Some middle of the night. I do not answer because I don't recognize this number. Now I see it happens to many of us. Most of us since we are in China,,,??

i  have the same problem. My mobile no. is from Germany and I am back to China since 25th. Nov. 2011.

I got this call while in Beijing. but originally I am on o2 network from London.

I just got a call by that number, too!!  I am on business trip in Shanghai China but I did not pick up the phone. As read all comment, it seems no one know this number call for what?
