There will not be a loan, you have been scammed.  These rats offer loans to people who are desperate for money.  They ask for payment up-front via Ukash or Western Union voucher.  They then ring and ask for the voucher number and tell you the money will be in your bank within hours.  It isn't.  Then you get another call, asking for more money, by voucher, for "taxes" or some such rubbish.  If you get that voucher, they again ring and ask for the number with the promise that your money is on its way. It isn't.  They may ring a third time for more money for some other fake reason or you may just not be able to contact them.  The point is that, as soon as you give them the voucher number they can cash it, which they do. There is a warning on the Ukash vouchers telling people not to give the number over the 'phone. There is not, and never has been a loan.  It is just a cruel scam preying on desperate people.  As they are in India they are out of reach of our authorities and there is no chance of getting your money back.  The only thing you can try is to contact Ukash and see if they can do anything to give you some money back, but they are not involved and don't have to.

Don't fall for it, like I did, they are a complete scam, they make you pay ukash vouchers and say you will get a loan and to check your bank in 15 mins and no loan!

We get refund from loan outfit Wentworth Direct
BY ANDREW PENMAN ON APRIL 8, 2010 12:00 AM IN DEBTS AND LOANS
Needing extra cash, Gintare Biliunaite called Wentworth Direct Finance and paid a £59 fee after being told that her loan had been approved.

She was then contacted by a second firm, Capital First Loans UK, and then by a third called FLM, which offered her £3,000, not the £4,000 she had applied for. And the promised "typical" interest rate of 15% had jumped to a scary 59%.

"I phoned Wentworth Direct but the person I spoke to told me it was not their problem and put the phone down," said Gintare, of Chislehurst, Kent.

We had a bit more success. A spokesman for Wentworth, based in Gravesend, Kent, told us: "If the client is not happy with our service or no longer wishes to proceed and requests a refund of the fee, it is promptly made."

Gintare confirmed: "Thanks to you I've got my refund."

Meanwhile here's an update on our old enemies Yes Loans UK of Cwmbran, Gwent, charge a £69.59 fee to pass you on to another company which may or may not lend you money at the promised interest rate.

It has just been hauled over the coals by the Advertising Standards Authority for sending unsolicited texts, saying: "We've received your loan enquiry, please call."

    UPDATE September 23, 2010

Wentworth Direct loans could just make you even worse off

I have just been done by this firm. They came across as a finance firm offering loans. I gave them my VISA card details and gave no confirmation for them to take any money from my account. I recieved a letter asking for a brokers fee which I sussed was a con, so did not reply. A week later there is £59 taken from my account. I am hoping that it being paid by VISA I will be able to reclaim the amount. I am then going to contact my local police to lodge a formal complaint against the firms directors. I will keep you up dated. If the law fails me, I am going to buy 100 £1 sim cards and give them the run around to see how they like it.

DO NOT give out your Debit Card details to anybody if you are speaking on the phone or talking face to face unless you have documents containing the TERMS AND CONDITIONS outlining what you are paying for and what your rights are!You only have to read articles from this website to get an idea of the scams out there.
also applying for loans and credit leaves a mark on your credit file if you are credit searched.

I have been totally scammed by this company this week. They took the money without my permission. They asked for my card details and I asked what they needed them for they said to verify my details. I specifically asked if they were going to try and charge me and was assured that no they would not be taking any money from my account. Yet they have taken 59 quid without my permission. I am so angry I could cry, I can't spare that money, if I could I wouldn't have needed a loan. They never said they were a broker they told me they had approved my loan and that the paperwork was in the post, but I have received nothing. How do I get my money back?

If you complain you should get a file/reference number and your complaint will be registered.
Then send a letter (REGISTERED POST) to the company outlining who you have complained to and request a refund ,also , if you have given no authorisation for them to take money then Speak to your bank about a fraudulent transaction and request the money put back on your card. The bank can request money to be refunded back on to the card.

    HAROLD BISHOP SAID:
I have no sympathy for you morons. YOU willingly applied for the loan in the first place on their website. Why would you full out an application anywhere, without reading the terms and the conditions in FULL and understanding what you will be getting yourself into. Why even attempt to get a loan from anybody without doing prior research, to make sure you're aware of what will be involved.
These companies just process what you initially request, under the assumption that if you're capable enough to be able to browse the internet and fill out an online form, that you're also able to hover your mouse over a simple link that says TERMS AND CONDITIONS and read it.
It's like somebody putting a sign up that outside their house that says "DO not enter. Savage Dog will tear you from limb to limb"
And then blindly strolling onto the property, getting mauled and then filing a complaint.
Well, I hope you've learnt your lesson regardless. Once bitten, twice shy.

    SOMEMIGHTSAY SAID:
    OI BISHOP!
    SHUT it, your very wrong.
I know how some of these companies work and they tell people they actually have a loan and to pay a process fee and the money will be in the account.
Are you one of those site surfers that goes about telling people how daft they are and how clever, high and mighty you are.
Oh by the way, that analogy was completely over the top but I guess if it makes your point of view work then fine.
BISHOP! If you knew anything then you would know that information is sold on and the actual person calling to say you have a loan is not always the person running the website.
luckily I've never been caught out by any scam but I can see how some people can be.

These wasters phoned me today to try and give me a £2000 loan - I was in auto pilot and did give them my details, at which i was told I would not be charged. Anyway, i soon realised what was going on and phoned my bank to alert them to a payment that may come through that i HAVE NOT authorised.
I then thought i'd call wentworth back. The lady I got through to was very polite saying you'll have to get a refund, I said, "doubt it my bank blocked the payment" at which point she hung up. I was furious because I'm betting they'll keep trying to do this so I must keep ontop of the bank. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I applied for a loan early June and was told it had been accepted. I paid the £59 Brokers fee and it was taken out of my account on the 14th June. I was contacted by one of Wentworth's agents who informed me it would only take a few days for my loan to come through. I then received a letter from a different lender saying Wentworth had passed my details to them and they needed more information which i sent. I then heard nothing. I contacted Wentworth who said they would look for another lender as i wanted my broker's fee back, but they fobbed me off. I have since written to them, rang them and been on hold for over an hour at atime costing me money i cannot afford. I feel i have been totally ripped off and the refund they said i would be entitled to is a night mare to retrieve. I WOULD advice no one to deal with this company if they have adverse credit as their pomises and customer service is a disgrace and they pray on people who cannot afford in the 1st place to pay these brokers fees. I am still trying to retrieve what's rightfully mine.

I am panicking but barclays told me these guys are legit. I didn't even know they were the broker - they told me I was accepted, the money is going through in the next ten days. I said even though I haven't sent the forms in yet and he said yes - although they need to be sent in ASAP. I feel so bloody stupid! And does anyone know a lender who actually does what wentworth say on the tin - I am in a really dire sitch at the mo???!

    ANDREW SAID:
I was looking for consolidation loan on the internet when I came across Wentworth Direct Finince.
I filled in their no obligation quote form and sent it away.
Approximately 1 hour later I received a phone call from Wentworth with regards to my loan application.
They told me that I had been accepted for the loan of £14000, repaid over 5 years, at £327 a month, with an APR of 15.2%.
They then asked for my bank card details to verify I had a uk bank account. I immediately asked if any money would be taken from my bank and was told "NO" not until my loan was confirmed.
I was then told that my account had been verified and that the money would be made available within 7-10 days after I had returned some loan agreement paperwork that would be posted to me the next day and paid an administration fee of £59.
At this point I thought all was going well.
I then received a loan confirmation letter and a form to sign and return for payment of the admin fee.
This is were things went wrong.
I then attempted to contact Wentworth Direct to make the admin fee payment.
Regardless of what time of day I phoned I was always 23rd, 20th, or 18th on the queue. On the few occasions I managed to get to 1st in the queue it took over 1 hour and 40 mins only to be cut off on three occasions.
I then saw that the admin fee had been taken from my bank without me making the payment.
I have then looked up Wentworth Direct on the internet only to see all the terrible reports.
I then received a letter from wentworth thanking me for my payment and claiming that lenders would be in touch with regards to my loan. On the same day I received a letter from Capital First Loans LTD (Ralph Marlon LTD Personal loans) asking me to send items of paperwork to process my loan.
I phoned Ralph Marlon LTD to enquire about APR of thier loans only to be told all thier loans are "OVER" 30% APR? although Wentworth told me I had been accepted for the loan rate of 15.2%.
I am now attempting to contact Wentworth direct with regards to getting my £59 refunded.

hi i did post a comment on here last week, but so far it hasnt shown up.
    this was just an update.
i sent a rather strongly worded letter to wentworth telling them that i had informed my bank as to what they had done (taking funds from my account without my permission) and that the bank would be informing the relevant authorities unless i recieved a full refund of the £59 + £8 bank charges for unpaid direct debit and cost of phone call that i had made to their so called customer service team.
guess what i recieved yesterday........ a cheque for £70.
i took this to my bank who had already refunded me for the £59 that wentworth had taken without my permission and explained to them what the cheque was for, so that they could take their £59 back out of it, just to be told off my bank that they had already started the investigation into wentworth and that they would be claiming their money back off they (not me) and that i should just class the cheque as an early christmas present.
so if you are unfortunate enough to be conned by wentworth then do as advised on here, mail them (recorded delivery) telling them that if a refund isnt recieved that the relevant authorities will be informed.

DO NOT do what MICK suggests, that is criminal. What JONNY said is out of date law, he is advertising a web site. Most comments posted here are factually impossible and have been posted on other sites. If you lie to a broker such as Wentworth, do not be surprised if you do not get a loan, they can only pass your details on. Most people here seem to accept they have got a refubd so what is their problem?

a caller called alex said i could have 5k for 5yrs at 92 a month... sounded good... the money will be in my account in 15 - 20minutes. great!! no up front or brokers fee whatsoever... YIPPEEEE!! Emptied my account, gave them my account number, now all i have to do is put £92 on a UKash card to verify i can pay the loan back lol... was like a dog wouldn't let go of me whatever i i said. The charge was then halved to £46. WOW! You can do this ????? Then I listened to my 11yr old nephew and told him not to call back. Thank God I typed in the telephone number on here before paying £92... Thanks and please don't do this... glad i wasn't got in the end.

Is Capital First Loans trading as Wentworth Finance?  If so, STAY AWAY from them - they're the biggest con artists going and any company that asks for a brokerage fee is a definite no non  -  there are no loans forthcoming!!!
