Claimed to be from HMRC

Message received yesterday, supposedly from HMRC, about to file a lawsuit against me! Wanted me to press 1 to talk to an officer. Because I have caller display the message was shown as an international call, but the full number is 02033 898636.  Clearly a hoax call. As pensioners paying tax we have no issues with HMRC and they would not contact me via an international number even if we had.  I did not press 1, the message went to answer phone.  Because my husband was concerned about the message I called the above 02033 number and got a confused Indian sounding male voice then it cut off.  I hope I have not made myself vulnerable to further fraud by making contact.  Where in the world have I been phoning?  I will check with my service provider whether I have been charged for the call.

I have also just found the same message on my answer machine from 02033222460. I have deleted the message!

02033 appeared on my BT phone caller display at 9am this morning, 6/3/17, ignored it its obviously a scam.

Beware beware, for they don't have a care! Job hunting genuine hard working people, 02033221136 are on job sites, pretending to be work recruiters, but when they call up you get a...... 'person struggling to speak English' -no job- but a squirm ball who wants to extract information from you, and sell your details-your home will be at the risk, no one no work place needs your entire address unless they have given you a job address, name of who to report to, and start time. I speak out!  Take care you wonderful grafters out their!

Recorded message claiming HMRC were taking me to court, they. Didn't know my name just gave number options.

Called at 6.50pm.....let answerphone cut in......Asian/african sounding male voice said " hello, hello" then hung up. Unwanted call. Number incoming logged as 02033181967

called today at 2.41 am when answered they hung up but I did not ring back but worst of all I couldn't get back to sleep

Got a call from 02033 895 612. A recording, claimed to be from HRMC who were starting an action against me (Or anyone at my number!!).  "Press 1 if I wanted to be connected to my case officer." (No other options given.).  I put the phone down!

Just recieved a call from a girl claiming to be from a company called Skylark, said they had been informed i had been involved in a accident which wasnt my fault.  Well this is not true so i laughed and hung up!

I showed interest online regarding how to invest in Bitcoin. Became inundated with phone calls from persistent rude people started to block them all tel numbers were 02033 and then different nos for example 02033 186766 after two weeks of nuisance and rude calls they stopped and somehow have got hold of my email address and are now sending abusive and offensive emails threatening to lie about me etc and contact my work colleagues. said not to go to the police as they were not based in the UK and it was useless. Have reported it to the police who are passing it over to Cyber Department and I have sent them the email and all the phone nos all of them are 02033
