    I don't mind them calling, they're a charity trying to increase donations after all. What I DO mind is the number of calls and the cheesy, heavy handed sales-pitch.  Had they called, said thanks for your donation and would you like to consider donating again, or something along those lines, I wouldn't have minded so much. However, after a long, cheesy and frankly embarrising speech about how good and kind and generous I was, (I had to cut the guy off and ask him to please get to the point (which he didn't)) I was in no mood to chat.  If you want something, man-up and ask for it. If you waffle at me and waste my time, good-bye!

    Just got a call from this number as well. didnt answer it but if it is Unicef then i wont be donating to them anymore. i donate when i choose to not donate and then be harrassed - a liberty!!

    It is UNICEF  I think they got my number when I donated some money recently by mobile.

    Don't mind so much I was called, got a text saying I missed a call.. Just wondered who it was .. Most people would probably ring back a missed call .. What does it say about us looking up the number on the Internet hahaha ..

    I received a call, which I did not mind getting. Like others have said, its a charity. The guy wanted extra donations as the Government are doubling people's donations. Fair enough I thought.

    However, I told the guy that I was not prepared to give out my bank details to a 'cold caller' and he then tried to persuade me that any malicious caller would not be able to use this info to his advantage. When I said that I still would not give them out he started asking me "how did I set up my other direct debits?" This did begin to annoy me and he realised this and decided to stop at that point. He may be right, in that the sort code and account number may not be enough to gain access, but I don't know what other info they may have got from elsewhere.


    If UNICEF had another way of making an additional donation I would have, but to only have the cold call and bank account option seems crazy. It would be so easy to keep the text line going or have a button on there website.

    Thats fine but i have answered the phone and explaine that i only made a one off donation because thats all i can afford but am still getting phone calls sometimes twice a day and am fed up of giving the same answer it is happening every day now fior two weeks and will never donate again now . Could you please advise me how to make them stop
