Received 4 calls in ten minutes. No one on the other end except a beeping tone.

I just had a call from these saying it was the Royal London Hospital, but it was for a SURVEY? Plus if you look on Royal London Hospitals website the number does not exist..Be careful giving any details.

It was the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, regarding appointment booking. It was a human being from what I can workout! Reminded me about my appointment and advised me to arrive early. If you have an appointment e.g Xray MRI Ultrasound its likely they want to remind you. The caller called twice in the morning didn't leave a message then about an hour later called from same number which is when I answered and spoke to this 'human'. So don't worry, have a good day.

This number called me whilst I was out.....6 times on my mobile and 3 times to my landline. Got through to my voicemail- one call just a dialling tone. The next message was an automated BT voice saying "This number does not exist" over and over again. Rang the number and all I got was three rapid beeps then line went dead. WTF!,,

Had a call from this number for my daughter who would have give them my number rather than hers would not tell me anything except from London hospital and would not leave me a message but said would call back.....never did !!!!!!

I had a call from this number today relatively late (6:45 pm). I don't answer calls from unknown numbers any more. Checked on this website that this was apparently the Hospital, and indeed some 15 min later I received e-mail from Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, regarding very important for me treatment (I've waited many years for the treatment), but inside the e-mail was another contact phone number. So I'm sure the number - 02035940000 is the London Hospital, but why they do it in so odd way (mentioned by Pedant) nobody knows ..

Why does Royal London Hospital uses a number you cannot call back on?
Just called me to rearrange an appointment.

I had this call me today when I phoned back said I Dailed a wrong number

It may well be the Royal London though why on earth it's not possible to ring back is yet another example of the idiocy of much of the NHS' administration. They COULD leave a message asking to ring back (on a number that receives incoming calls) without compromising patient confidentiality since they would not be disclosing any personal information. Someone here mentioned signing up for text alerts.  I can't see that it would make any difference if they're concern is with the possibility of leaving messages on the wrong phone!??
