I had a call from a different number yesterday and now this one. I believe they claim to be representatives of 02.
Bar stewards.

Does anyone know if this is a scam???? They are claiming to be a expert from carphone warehouse something to do with o2.

I have been recieving calls from thus number for almost two weeks now. The first two people told me who they were and they were calling on behalf of my mobile phone provider and then in behalf of O2. Both if these calls I told them they had never had my permission to call me and that I had specifically told carphone warehouse that I wanted to opt of of any marketing calls, texts or emails. First woman tells me they got my info from the freedom of info register and the second fella says the info comes from O2. They were both told to remove my details from their systems, to never call me again unsolicited and to make darn sure no one from their company ever graced my presence or airtime again. Obviously this has just aggrevated them, because I am now getting two calls per day since the last call on Tuesday and they either hang up or there's no one there on the other end. I will find out who exactly they are and I will inform the relevant watchdog/ombudsman of their continued harassment, even after telling them to remove my details from their systems etc etc. I've now added thus number and one other to my blocked callers list. That should stop them for a while??

This number keeps appearing on my phone. I have answered it and no one speaks, I say 'Hello' twice and then they hang up. There is no music, no sound at all on the end of the line.  I have also sent a busy signal to this number but I get calls at least twice a day and it has been happening sporadically over the past two weeks.

Had several calls from this number.
Says his name is "David" and wants to know if I want to upgrade my mobile.
Am on contract and get free upgrade every 12 months. I said if he was from my mobile provider, he would know this -- he hung up!!

I got call from this number today. They said they were ringing about my O2 contract  I said I don't have an O2 contract I am with vodaphone. The guy just said ok i will remove you from our records.

At least 1 call per day minimum. No one there. Call them back to offer abuse and get voice mail and the "box" is full!
Someone take them out and shoot them please.

Constantly receive calls from this number.  Said they were Phones 4 U on behalf of O2 .  Told them I wasnt interested in anything and the cut me off immediately.  Have never dealt with Phones 4 U so had a feeling it was a scam.

I have just started receiving calls from this number. Never answered at 1st then when I did I was also cut off. Find it strange they have this number as I only use it for phoning family and friends. These are the 1st calls of this type that I have received to my wee banger phone looks like not sacred anymore....

Had at least 6 calls from this number. Nothing when call is answered but never ring it back!

I to thought it was carphone warehouse, it isn't, I thought I had ordered a new phone but following day nearly £800 was attempted to be taken out my bank account. It's a scam, luckily the bank stopped the transactions

I'm getting calls from this number, when I answer they hang up.  I've now stopped picking the calls up.

Keep getting calls from this number. It turns out they are some company affiliated to Carphone warehouse and they are on the edge of masquerading as O2 and are trying to sell me an upgrade to an account I do not have with them but with 02.  A confused person might think they are talking with their current supplier.  They knew my name, who my provider is and when my renewal date is but I have no connection with them whatsoever.    Time to talk to Trading Standards and to o2 as either my data has been sold, given away or carelessly managed.  Not happy!
