I had a call off this number from John Shaw from BT Openreach about my internet.  (He had a very Asian-sounding accent for a man with that name) I told him I didn't have my internet with BT or even a phone line with them and that the call was being recorded. He told me I couldn't do that but I told him I can (it's legal if you only use the recording for personal use but illegal if you pass it on to another without the consent of the caller)  I told him he was a scammer and hung up.
