is this yet another scam does anybody no???

me too have been scammed once already this week i darent answer it!!!

Got phone call last night from a survey team who got my number from a web survey I had entered.  Asked if I wanted 5 free lottery lines.  Then got text from this number saying to reply YES to 87770 to claim 5 free lottery lines.  Is this genuine or a trick - does anyone know?  Recorded message at end lists Blind Society, SSPCC and more as their sponsors

I got 2 texts yesterday and one today saying "FreeMsg: Reply YES to 87770 To get 5 FREE Euromillions lines in nxt drw free win an Ipad entry Claim winnings @ Lottobytext 02070810976 end subs txt stop". I reckon its a scam.

I did the survey naughtycaj did.  I said no to everything but I still got the texts.  Has anyone got them to stop and was it a scam - did it cost money?

Also getting htis text message and want it to stop.  Get hit by at least 3-6 messages per day!!

I have been receiving text messages from this number also, but I have replied to it with the word "stop" and have not received any other texts from the company, besides the one confirming that I have unsubscribed, and that the texts have stopped.  A piece of advice is to avoid any online surveys as they are probably just wanting your details eg. email address, phone number, postal code etc. Hope this helps you with the text messages...

A lot of these calls or texts are generated because of surveys or competitions on facebook and other sites like it so don't enter your details online

i just got the same text saying win 5 lottery lines etc.. after starting a survey on facebook, i changed my mind and stopped after filling in a few details and got the text and an email within seconds! i'm defo staying away from these things now!

these scams need to stop,i cant remember the last time i entered a competition online yet im still getting these txts from 87770 quoting 02070810976 as a contact number, i havent replyed to either and so far, fingers crossed i havent had any more txts! its bloody annoyin!

Have had 2 calls 2 days running from this number but have not replied.; they say I can claim 5 free lottery lines by texting 87770 and win an Ipad by ringing the number above.

Got two SMS messages in the last hour offering Free Lottery lines and asking me to reply YES to 87770. The number  02070810976 shows in the message. As 0207 is a national rate number, called it back to complain and got an automated unsubscribe line asking me to enter my mobile number. Hopefully that will put a stop to it, although there is a risk that I just confirmed my number to them and they'll send me more rubbish.

Further to my last post, after calling the -976 number and unsubscribing, got this text:

"Lottobytext: freemsg> request confirmed: There are no active services for this Mobile number."

This is junk.

I have been getting them for a few days now, i feel if its a free txt then [***] it il not give them any money by replying stop... they are actually free right?

Got same texts, two in one day. Will call up my mobile phone provider and ask advise.

its not exactly a scam, it does give you free lottery entry for 5 tickets
the thing is, in the small print on whatever website your phone was entered to, after this, your numbers will be re-entered every wednesday, friday and saturday untill you stop it, charging you £1.50 per ticket so youll be being charged £22.50 a week on lottery tickets,

im still trying to find out that the texts they send are free because im getting them too, and i cant comfirm that replying "stop" will stop them
