- cherylb| 3 repliesCan someone please help. I think these men have scammed my dad out I'd his savings. He's talking about ending everything. I don't know what to do apart from grab a.baseball bat and hunt them down.
- Caller: galissard
- anonymous replies to cherylblook them up on Facebook. Both live near me in Grays and both are now driving around in sports cars which I suspect some poor persons life savings paid for. Their offices are in Canary Wharf and I know a couple of people working for them. Most of them have no qualifications and barely made it through school. I have no idea whether their business is genuine but many of their friends are suspicious which speaks volumes. Im confused though because a person with the same name has been imprisoned for a similar thing not so long ago but definitely isn't the same guy.
- Unknown replies to Anthony GardnerYou should get your facts right before making accusations, this is not even the right person!!!!!!!!!!!

You people need to check the facts, your accusing the wrong person. That mirror article shows a picture and i can assure you this is not the same person!!!!!! - Arbiter| 3 repliesMost victims are vulnerable people who are cleverly misled by these crooks. Anyone who shows ability to check details is dropped. Those who say 'you know what you bought' are simply ignorant of the methods and actions of these people.
Note, it is worth reporting via Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline as well because complaints will then end up being collated by the local trading standards who can either prosecute directly or pass details to the police - Rupert Lewis| 1 replyI know this may not help or assist anyone, but on the 17 November 2012 I made a purchase from the company Galissard and was advised by one of the consultants to re-sell in February. During December the stocks had dropped and I was devastated I was so upset as I had invested a lot of money, when I called the consultants back they asked me to sit tight at this point I thought I had been scammed and even reported my experience. However January had passed and the stocks where still very low, on February the 5th they had gone up by 1/4 of the price I purchased for to my delight I sold. Following the pattern the stocks had increased by half the original value in February, I did see a slight drop in March however I was happy with the profit I had made. I believe that each situation can vary and I understand the devastation of those who have made a lose but I guess its a risk we had all taken.
Kind Regards
Lewis - Dave replies to Arbiter| 2 repliesThey are not vunerable they took a gamble and a risk, its like going to a caisno and bidding on red and black comes out you cant go around blaming the dealer now can you? It is sad if you make a loose but thats with all gambleing methods
- Nan replies to Dave| 1 replyI just hope this never happens to you. The people who run these boiler rooms are very good at what they do. People of all walks of life have been taken in by them. As someone said earlier, they soon drop people who ask too many questions. They do, in fact, target the elderly and just love people who think they are helping their families by trying to make a little more money. It must be nice to be as clever as you are and never get conned, but remember, there is always a con out there which can outwit you. When it happens I hope you will feel that the gamble was worth the risk.
- Nan replies to Rupert LewisThe post before yours was on 17th April, so you did not see it when surfing the front page of this website, which is what people do. So you suddenly decided to search out a site for reporting unknown, unwanted and scam calls to see if this company's telephone was on it? You "made your profit" in February, so you say, so why now? People who have had a good experience with a company do not decide, some 2 or 3 months later to do what you have done. The only people who do what you have done are the scammers themselves, trying to put a positive spin on a dodgy company. This would also apply to "Dave" who posted shortly after you.
- Victim| 1 replyNew information on these guys will be updated soon.
- An observer replies to NanAs mentioned, they target the elderly, as they have done with my dad. As for the previous comment about taking a gamble...... it might do you well to remember, that for those of a certain age, this type of fraud didn't happen 'back in their day' and will be completely unfamiliar to most. Hence the reason they are targetted. It's a sad state of affairs, when people are accused of 'being' stupid for investing in a scam, mostly with good intentions i.e a little extra money to leave for their families. So we are all supposed to be 'fraud savvy' and accept these fraudsters and conmen as part of everyday life? Or do we all have to study for a degree in criminality, in order to recognise every well devised scam! Looking at the recent activity and multiple directorships of these YOUNG conmen, the companies they set up (which always voluntary disolve!), appear to be fronts for bigger and better fraudulent activity, such as with tax and VAT, and not just running off with the publics' life savings. That's an added bonus along the way!! Surely someone must be, or could be monitoring this!?! I think new laws need to be put in place, especially to protect those who are ESPECIALLY vulnerable !! After all, it is the older generation who have paid years and years of tax!! We should respect this!
- ArbiterDave is almost certainly one of the brokers working for these traders. They lie to people, point them to bogus websites for background material and use all sorts of psychlogical tricks to pressurise them into making a decision on the telephone without giving them the opportunity to do any research; one set of scripts I have seen devoted about 12 pages to methods of keeping people on line and avoiding sendng written information. I know of one case where they edited recordings of telephone calls to make it sound like people had agreed to pay.

Call Mr Kirk at Bishops Police station for more information - mark| 1 replyGuys you need to chase down the original people who sold the land to the companies who sold it to you.
MRT director Mr mark Tull also Carl Ballard these are the guys who came up with land all the info on these land sites, these guys are the ones who approached Brian Ball for ormskirk land. The land companies sold you the land on an option for Tull and ballard. the land company made a small amount of commission on your investment the major profit was made by tull and ballard. I know these men still have assets so your best course of action is to track these people down. you really need to have your fact right or you will get nowhere. Mr and Mrs Coyle you still own the land and if you phone the council there is a chance building will go ahead. - PAUL MOORE FRAUD replies to mark'the land company made a small amount of commission on your investment '

Although Mr Moore asserts that Manor Rose had no inter-relationship with the other companies such as Dakota, it is apparent this was not so, as the provisional liquidator has reported that Manor Rose paid Mr Michael Moore, Mr Moore’s brother who was responsible for the Dakota sales staff, the sum of £224,900.37 on 4 November 2010. Before being closed down, the companies between them mis-led the public into investing around £6.5 million.
The investigation revealed that its land banking business had raised at least £370,000 from the sale of land at the Cross Keys and Flax Lane sites (of which Mr Moore received £158,376);
It appears that some £3,379,724 was generated by the company from the sale of carbon credits before being closed on 28 February 2012 as a result of the Service’s enforcement action. Further investigation revealed that in all Mr Moore received payments from the company totaling at least £478,995 and that an additional £576,703 was withdrawn in cash by him. - help meCompany Investigations Supervisor Chris Mayhew said: “The investigation found that false and misleading claims regarding the investment potential of the land and the carbon credits were made to the public and investors were misled into believing that the land and the carbon credits they were buying had serious investment potential. There is no credible evidence to support the assertions made to investors who had virtually nothing to gain and everything to lose from their investment. Unscrupulous companies, and those behind them, who prey on the vulnerable and gull honest people out of their hard earned money will not be tolerated by the Service”. The evidence is that investors were given misleading statements designed to and actually make them invest. There was a serious disregard for investors and the business was conducted with a complete lack of commercial probity. 'What they did to me was along time ago, but it involved allot of stress on my behalf and my family, I can nevvier forget or forgive. The Moore brothers and Gill used various threats against me. Paul and Michael(aka Robert) Moore continued after Manor Rose was closed down to continue the similar scam at Burbank of London/Emmissions Offset which has since run off with investors’ money. The general public deserve better protection.
MARK JONES see http://blogs.mirror.co.uk/investigations/2012 ... ent-scam-o.html was significantly responsible in his role of Senior Broker at Manor Rose Ltd in defrauding, mis-selling and mis-leading the public of 6.5 million pounds of land and carbon credits.

The Moore brothers WERE involved, pulling the strings behind the Burbank/Emission Offset operations.
Haydon Driscoll is a "Puppet" Director.
Micheal Moore was operating and may still be under the name Robert Moore.
