Report a phone call from 02079791888 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- enigma| 3 repliesThis company called my parents 80+ year old neighbour, Mrs Clarke today (my parents share the same surname 'Clark') and left a message asking her to call them back on 020 7979 1888.
After looking on the internet another lady with the surname 'Clarke' in Brentwood was also targetted with a scam phone call twice be this same company.
Be on guard, this looks like a scam and never ever give out your card details to a company who just phones you up out of the blue 'claiming' they have your personal information.- Caller: Telephone Security
- Kathryn MossSame number called my 80+ neighbour reminding her that she had paid £49 for telephone security last November with her credit card. Said his name was George Smith (foreign accent). Fortunately she told him nothing. He had her address and when she questioned him about the bank details he wouldn't say anything. I guess if she had been more gullible he'd have gone on to gather information about her bank details. Beware!
- Caller: Telephone security
- Danny BoyHad the same call from a George Smith..told him to take a running jump..BEWARE this caller is operating a scam...

- Paul| 1 replyA so called Peter Johnson from a company called Telesecurity phoned to tell me I had signed up for telephone security @ £49 and had authorised payment from my card. I never give my card details out so knew it was a scam. He told me the payment had already gone through. I queried it and eventually he said he would cancel the charge! Checked with my bank - no payment had ever been made.
I asked him where he had got my details from and he was adament that I had contacted them several weeks ago. I asked for all his contact details and surprise, surprise when I googled them, they were all ficticious.
Be careful with this scam - he was quite convincing!!- Caller: Telesecurity

Number showed on my phone as 1100
Oh, and site owner, could you add "Scam" to the drop down menu for the call type, please?- Caller: Telesecurity

- JoCall received 10/04/2012 from a foreign-sounding gentleman (probably Asian). When asked for his name said "David", when asked for company said "Telesecurity". He explained that this company intercepted unwanted telephone calls, and said that £49 had been paid in February. At this point I realised this was a scam, as I have definitely not agreed to this payment.
Called again later with same story. I told him I'd googled his company and found this website.
I don't know what can be done about these calls, but hope you can help- Caller: Telesecurity

- MargI received a call from 'Benjamin' (foreign) said he was from Telephone Security and had received my payment of £49 for telephone security to monitor my incoming calls. I told him I hadn't requested any such service. He was insistent that they had received my first payment. I asked name of company - Telephone Security - I asked where they were based he said London. By now I realised it was a scam. I asked for a refund and didn't want service. He then started talking to a colleague (couldn't make out what they said). I then hung up. I've checked my account, no money has been taken. I am now in process of cancelling my card to make extra sure. I hate to think these criminals get away with scamming people, especially vulnerable people.

- Martin| 1 replyHad a call from Mark and then his boss Eric (strange coz they didn't speak english too well), but just like all the other reports, they were convinced that they had taken £49 from my account, but could not tell me which account. They had several goes at guessing the first 4 numbers, then asked me to confirm all the rest of the card details. When I refused they said that I had previously given it so there would be no problem to give it again.
They have the nerve to say that the service is to prevent nuisance phone calls ( for the rest of my life apparently). They also reminded me that they have my address, and I take that to be a threat.
It is time that action was taken against these parasites.- Caller: Telephone Security
- sophisticated replies to MartinHi I have too just received a call from 020 7979 1888 and was saying that I paid £49 in January to stop nuisance calls. And the money was taken out from bank today .When I firmly said that I do not recall taking such a call he got very agitated and asked for my bank details which he will read out to me to confirm further refused to answer, and told to call back when the name on whom the telephone is registered is at home. He left it there and put the phone down.
SCAM BE AWARE - TechAs per all the rest of the comments above , George (Indian or Asian) confirmed that I had paid my £49.00 this morning, he needed to confirm my details. I told him I was with HSBC bank and I would only confirm when he gave my account number. He said that he could only give the first 4 digits and when I confirmed he would give me the rest. I don't bank with HSBC. he even gave me the address for the company as "telephone Security Sandcourt House London N18 LN". Even when I said that I would report him to the police - he said fine as it was all legal and then change my payment to come of my phone bill not my bank, he was unable to tell me who my phone company was. to be honest I quite enjoyed the quizzing as he was so [***] sure of himself and it was his phone call not mine, so it may have cost him a lot more than the £49.00. I have reported it to the police. I am writing as I would hate for some older person to be taken by this. Ism not on Facebook or anything like that so hoping someone will read this and maybe alert people by Facebook. SCAM BEWARE

- Caroline| 1 replySame here, just got a phone call from a Mark Robinson (strange name seen as he sounded Indian!) told me I had authorized them to take £49 out of my bank which they were taking today I asked what number was on the card they were taking it out of and he asked me which bank it was! When I refused to tell him, he got very stroppy and told me that they were going to take the payment anyway and I would get no service. I asked for the company address, he said I didn't need it. I told him that I wanted to check if they were a reputable company. After that he got really angry and told me that they were taking the money full stop and put the phone down.
PLEASE BE AWARE, DO NOT GIVE DETAILS!- Caller: Telephone Security

- Anon replies to CarolineI received the same calls as above ... they gave me the same number as earlier entries for their telephone number and attempt to dupe you by making you believe they already have your details for the agreement they profess you entered into re their services to prevent you receiving unwanted calls ... (their story is that they just want to validate the information). Don't give them your details.
- bonzoI am 77 and was contacted by them to say that £49.00 was taken out of my account for this service, and
when I said that I had not given my bank details he insisted that I had, when I asked for contact details he said David Anderson and the 020 number. when I said that I would check it out , he then asked me if I wished to cancel, I of course said yes, he said that the money would be returned, and he rang off- Caller: 02079791888
