Picked up a call from this number at 11:00 hrs today, 26/3/24; slick, well spoken individual with an English (London?) accent. Claimed to be calling from 'Cavendish Brown' on behalf of BeeAyEe Systems - (he stretched out the vowels). He spun a story about the Company's Annual Report being delayed because of the 'volume of business in the pipeline' so they were doing very well and were about to declare a significant Dividend. I'd smelled a Rat from the outset, (not least by the boiler room buzz in the background) but kept talking, non-committally. He could arrange for me to receive the Annual report electronically as soon as it was published - I declined, knowing he was phishing for my e-mail address. He knew my name & postal address and that I'd held shares for a number of years (information on the public register) and then went into flattery mode that I was clearly a knowledgeable, long term investor and that (at this very moment!!) his 'directors were in a high level meeting to determine strategies for both corporate investors and smart individuals like myself'. Were I interested, his organisation could provide regular information and advice, yadayadayada . . ! I'd got bored by this point, told him I already dealt with a Broker and a couple of other Investment Management Companies; he was (at best) working a sales pitch and (almost certainly) building to an outright scam so I terminated the conversation.
